If you just get serious but down't marry the guy, treat his son like any other person. If you marry this guy and his son becomes your stepson, treat him like any other person. If you stop dating dating this guy and his son asks you out, treat him like any other person. If you start dating his son, treat his father like any other person. If you start dating his son and it gets very serious, treat his father like any other person. If you start dating his son, fall in love, and marry his son, then you should treat his father like the stepson he is who could have been your husband had you not chosen his boy.
