Author Lauriebell82 Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 I think someone asked me how I am going to do my hair: It will sort of look like this. I actually have an exact picture of how I want it when I went to my junior prom. http://galleries.weddingchannel.com/Wedding-Details/28867/detailview.aspx?id=28867&type=19&WC+Galleries=Hairstyles&WC+Hairstyles=Curly&pageindex=3
hotgurl Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Thanks! Yeah your daughter's dress does look like mine! I LOVE the back of her dress! I would have NEVER thought I would chose a dress like that, I wanted the opposite!!! With the figure I have now though, A-lines look so much better! I looked through old pictures and found some of me at 9th and 10th grade homecoming which I was about the same size I am now. I can't believe I have my teenage figure back! Anyway, they were more tapered, A-line type dresses and they really showed me off and I looked thinner! I also like the dress because it is still formal enough that it could pass for "princess like" and because of how fancy/formal our wedding will be, I do want something to that effect. That's sort of why I wanted a ballgown because it goes along with that theme. I LOVE this dress though, I am sooooo excited!!!!! I am so happy for you. You def have the figure for this dress. The same thing happened with my dress. I thought I wanted one style but I fell in love with a totally different style. Are you going to wear your hair up?

I'm going to have it half up, kind of like this: http://galleries.weddingchannel.com/Wedding-Details/28867/detailview.aspx?id=28867&type=19&WC+Galleries=Hairstyles&WC+Hairstyles=Curly&pageindex=3 A little more curled though.

Okay, it's kind of going to look like how I wore it at my best friend's wedding. I'll post the pic in my profile. I look fatter though so hopefully my hair will look different with a skinny face.
Author Lauriebell82 Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 okay it's in my profile...

Art_Critic Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Ah come on, I know you are having fun!!! .. I have fun shopping with my wife too, hahahaha
Author Lauriebell82 Posted October 24, 2009 Author Posted October 24, 2009 I had a dream about my wedding dress last night. (the lace one that I posted) I dreamt that there was a mix up and a ballgown came in instead of that dress. It was weird. It's like subconsciously I feel I "should" be wearing a ballgown because that's what I always envisioned myself in. Ugh.
Star Gazer Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 So which dress are you going with? The Allure lace one, or the Aire Collection one (that is named "Balear")??
Author Lauriebell82 Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 Alrighty LS consultants. The Allure "lacey" dress is now in my profile. The lady was nice and let me take pics of it. We took a lot of pics from different angles, all 5 pics in that album are the same dress though. Let me know what you think!
melodymatters Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Oh ! That one is very pretty and looks beautiful on you ! When IS the wedding ?
Star Gazer Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Love it, LB. It's beautiful, and timeless.

Thanks guys!!! Our wedding is September 18th, 2010. The lady said it takes 6-8 months for my dress to get ordered because it's a designer one, so I have to buy it soon!
Citizen Erased Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Oh wow LB. You look so happy in that dress. Does it feel like "the one"? It is gorgeous.
Author Lauriebell82 Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 Oh wow LB. You look so happy in that dress. Does it feel like "the one"? It is gorgeous. Yep, thats it!!! I started crying and so did my bridesmaid who was there with me. She measured me though and said I was a size 8. But at DB and AA they both measured me and said I was a 6 according to their chart. I know bridal dresses run small but I don't get that. I'm afraid the dress will be too big!
Author Lauriebell82 Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 That's a beautiful dress, LB. You will look positively stunning! Thanks! I think it blows all the others out of the water!!! It's so slimming and flattering, I just love it! I should have taken a picture of me from the side, my stomach looks awesome!
hotgurl Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 wow stunning. You look beautiful. sizes vary by designer. So I would trust what the lady said since she works with this designer.

So I would trust what the lady said since she works with this designer. Thanks! You may be right about the variation in sizes. She said I will probably need to have it altered in the stomach and hips no matter what, it just runs smaller in the bust area. When my bridesmaid got measured she was a freakin size 0!!! She has the complete opposite build I do though.
anne1707 Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 The dress is stunning LB - beautiful yet also subtly sexy As for the size, don't worry - when it is altered it will fit you perfectly
Rollercoasterr Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Thanks! You may be right about the variation in sizes. She has the complete opposite build I do though. LB, I think all wedding dresses are made smaller in the bust area. It's because of that reason that I had to get a size I would normally never ever wear. You'll look stunning in this dress. I love it. And it's still princessy!
Citizen Erased Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Yep, thats it!!! I started crying and so did my bridesmaid who was there with me. She measured me though and said I was a size 8. That's how my sister knew hers was "the one". My mum starting crying, so did my sis. I'm sure when it is altered it will be fine. It's amazing. Like Anne said, beautiful yet kinda sexy. Your soon to be hubby won't know what hit him!
Author Lauriebell82 Posted October 29, 2009 Author Posted October 29, 2009 Thanks everyone! I knew you'd love it! Do you think it's fancy enough? Our wedding is in a huge ballroom with big pilars and marble floors. Picture Cinderella's castle. Needless to say, it's very formal so I need a formal dress.
