boldjack
Nope, Mrs. BJ says that mine are like little torpedoes. She once told her sis that every time I took off my pants, she got knocked up.. GT's problem is that the little buggers keep going the wrong way, like most Okies. shadowplay
Congrats, TBF!! You're getting eloped?? What did I miss? Wow, life happens fast!
sb129
Thanks dm! I had a plan at one time. Apparently fertility trumps all well-laid plans, et al. And to think we were "discussing" said plans only a few weeks ago! I think its great. I suspect all of you would be just like S. is currently. Totally proud of his boys for beating all odds. Sounds like my H. One shot one target he calls himself.
Trialbyfire
Thanks ladies. Knocked up and headed for a shotgun wedding! I'm not the least bit upset sb. Shyte happens! It's not as if we weren't planning any children, just the timing of it all. Just got back from the doctor, picked up my prenatal vitamins (Centrum Materna) and have already taken one. She says I'm healthy...like horse. My due date's in my sig.
Ronni_W
Congrats, TBF - and to 'Mr. TBF' as well. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy...and a happy 'shotgun' celebration. If you're running a pool, put me down for: a baby daughter, 7lbs 6 ozs, on June...10th Hugs and good stuff.
Trialbyfire
Thanks Ronnie! First dibs goes to Ronnie, for prepicking her square. p.s. Couldn't he/she be a little smaller? The smaller, the less ouchies.
shadowplay
TBF, out of curiosity why the elopement? Is it a religious/cultural thing?
Trialbyfire
It's a traditional thing, one that I also subscribe to. Apparently, my oldest brother was a premature baby too. Edit - S. subscribes to it too.
NoIDidn't
Wow! TBF. Congrats. Someone else already said it, but it looks like daddy-to-be DID win. I bet you don't care and couldn't be happier though!!! Congrats again!!!
Kamille
For my own personal reasons, I'm predicting a girl, June 4th. No idea as to weight. A healthy pregnancy throughout and a happy healthy baby.
Trialbyfire
Thanks NID and you're right, I couldn't be more excited about this! Haha...Kamille, you've booked your square too! Keep in mind that the due date could change, after my first ultrasound.
sb129
I'm not the least bit upset sb. Shyte happens! It's not as if we weren't planning any children, just the timing of it all.. I think its FABULOUS news. I thought your other plans were leaving it a bit late IMHO, and its the best "surprise" you can have. We didn't plan for our baby to be quite so soon after our wedding either, but you get used to it soon enough! p.s. Couldn't he/she be a little smaller? The smaller, the less ouchies. Actually, this is not necessarily true (my daughter is living proof!) Some bigger babies propel themselves down the birth canal better. And my 10lb monster would have felt just the same if she was 7lb- the only bad thing about her size was she tore me, but you don't feel THAT till afterwards. You are a very healthy caucasian woman and you aren't overweight or a smoker- you are much more likely to have a 7lb+ baby. (sorry!) On the plus side, bigger babies who arrive at term or a little after tend to be better at feeding and sleeping. (have discussed all this with my midwife this morning so its very fresh in my mind. I can't really discuss any other topic than babies at the moment.)

We didn't plan for our baby to be quite so soon after our wedding either, but you get used to it soon enough!I won't deny that it's amazing, thinking about our little one growing inside of me. I keep daydreaming about little fingers and toes, the little cupid bow lips, a fuzzy little head, all soft and warm from the bath. I thought you guys were planning for one soon after your wedding or did I get that wrong? Actually, this is not necessarily true (my daughter is living proof!) Some bigger babies propel themselves down the birth canal better. And my 10lb monster would have felt just the same if she was 7lb- the only bad thing about her size was she tore me, but you don't feel THAT till afterwards. On the plus side, bigger babies who arrive at term or a little after tend to be better at feeding and sleeping. Ouch!! I guess it's the size and shape of the head that can cause issues. (have discussed all this with my midwife this morning so its very fresh in my mind. I can't really discuss any other topic than babies at the moment.)Talk away, I'm listening and very interested, for some strange reason. I'm S. free tonight, the first night in 4 days since I told him. While he wanted to stay with me again tonight, I encouraged him to go to his normal partners' dinner, so he can relax and probably brag some more, about his prowess. It's great to have some free time. So how do I stop my Mom from calling? Rhetorical question since that's an impossibility!
SoulSearch_CO
Thanks boldjack but it's okay now. I've been a little jittery as of late, with getting married a second time, which had nothing to do with him or our relationship. Now those fears have completely disappeared and in retrospect, were so insignificant. We're a family. Aww, God. Cute! I hope to feel this way one day. 2nd marriage scares me to death. boldjack
I'm so sorry for the thread-jack, but GT (AKA- insufferable Aggie Twit) started it. I hope that you will keep us informed about the shotgun elopement, with particular attention to the make, model and gauge, of the shotgun used.:D I'm not familiar withe the protocol of an elopement, could I get invited? I'm perfectly willing to act as usher.

Thank you, TBF. I do hope so in spite of the fear. I guess I am an incurable romantic...I just hope it's not terminal.
