Disillusioned Posted October 24, 2009 Share Posted October 24, 2009 When I found out meetup.com dropped most of the fees which were killing its business, I did a search for singles meetup groups, and got a bunch of them. I then actually RSVP'd for one and left my Realdoll at home then went to a singles' bash on the 17th was so I could see the ol' paradigm gearshift being moved a notch. Anyone who hasn't been living in a cave for the last 20 years knows games like hard-to-get, relocate-to-Bumf***-Egypt, etc etc, have pretty well gone by the boards because women are starting to figure out that most men are not mindreaders who have ESP. Singles are starting to follow the new rules, but only because they're starting to figure out that the way to fit a square peg into a round hole is not to use a bigger hammer, but to try the round peg. Just the fact that they showed up for the meetup.com bash is proof that they're starting to get it. If not, it would have been all men. The downside was, there seemed to be more men 20-30 and women 50-60... but the sad part was watching some of those old cougars hitting the dance floor half-drunk, by themselves, and the only man who danced with them was this old bald dude who looked about 80. I told my aunt about it afterward (she was the one who encouraged me to go), and she said she felt sorry for the old cougars, because they farted around and had fun for so many years, that now they're too old to bag a husband. In addition, a cursory perusal of the usual dating & singles forums reveal that more of said cougars are giving it to the younger women straight, telling them to ditch their attitudes, in the hope the younger ones will listen to them and not end up becoming CCL's. After all, the younger women with attitudes are the main reason why Realdolls are selling so well! Link to post Share on other sites

I only went because the event was free, and it would give me a chance to see how some of us are trying to make the old rules work. It's been what... a couple million years since humans started walking the earth? And women still haven't figured out that men don't have ESP. Personally, I wonder why human beings are still here. There are women out there who are not as you have apparently experienced. Unfortunately the more time you spend with a doll that neither talks or moves the more real women are going to become strange to you. Glad you are still finding happiness with your RealDoll then. But you told us about "her" and you don't seem to even want a relationship with a real person. So why not buy in wholeheartedly? I saw the movie.
