LostInLA Posted October 27, 2009 Share Posted October 27, 2009 Ok so this whole dating thing is new to me (again..I guess), and I know I'm not ready BUT I don't mind putting my feelers out there to ease myself into it, so to speak. So, I'm curious about a situation that happened to me and any and all input is welcome! (Names have been made up...just because!) I was out Friday night and pretty much knew I was going to see some new friends when I was out. One of my new friends, Steve, lives in a house with a bunch of roomates. So I was chatting with my other new friend, Donna and we saw Steve and said hi. Steve proceeded to introduce us to one of his roomates, Carl. Now Carl, I thought, was REALLY nice. He made sure to get our names, he asked me twice what my name was just to be sure (can't remember if he did this with Donna) and then we talked about where we're from. He answered first, then Donna answered...then another friend started to side track the conversation so I thought..oh ok guess we'll change the subject but then Carl turned to me and asked me where I was from. I thought that was really courteous. Then there were a few of us talking...actually, I was just listening to someone talking with Carl and Carl kept looking at me and smiling (we were situated right across from each other). I smiled back. :) Anyways, we didn't really get much more conversation just between the both of us. Eventually he and Steve had to leave and so did I, so I said bye to Steve and we hugged (as per usual) and then Carl and I said bye and we hugged as well (not too out of the norm with my circle of friends). I know this isn't much but is there some mild interest here? I have been thinking about Carl ever since Friday. I'm excited for this next weekend because a bunch of us are going out to eat and he's going to be there. Anything I should look for next time we see each other? Any special way to show I'm interested without being slutty? LOL If anything, I would like to date someone VERY casually just to get my feet wet and to try it out and have fun....
