Jade 02
I myself was an addict to oxy's real bad snorting, slamming whatever. I went on methadone(BIG MISTAKE AS I STAYED ON METHADONE TOO LONG) (methadone is used for a six month treatment to rid the withdrawals of oxys 6 MONTHS NO MORE THAN THAT! is the prper way to use methadone) I have seen it work that way if the addicted person really wants to get off opiates, then there are 12 step programs,AA,and NA in everytown, every day & night. I am so sorry I stayed on methadone too long NOONE told me to ONLY stay on it for 6 months (in that frame of time your body will NOT get addicted to methadone) Now That I have stayed on it too long I am decreaseing, and looking for a Detox, and I am allready involved in the 12 step programs. If your addicted friend wants off he will need help as he will go through withdrawls,How long has he been addicted matters too on how bad his withdrawals will be. Best of luck to yall
TheLoneSock
Addiction to pills is in many cases harder to get over than other hard drugs. Reason being is that these pills are pharmaceutical grade, manufactured with the goal of mimicking the very same chemicals produced by the brain - they are very powerful. My advice would be either find a new place to live, or have him evicted - a person like that, once they run out of money, will find the funds elsewhere. Once you have separated yourself from him as far as living conditions go, get him some professional help - even if it means reporting him to authorities. Protect yourself first, him if possible and only after you are taken care of.

I also agree wiith what a few people have stated melody that oxys is hillbilly heroin, and it is it is Synthetic heroiin. Edited December 19, 2009 by Jade 02 spelling
