I want an asian bf ¬.¬

Recommended Posts

if you want to look for big calves, go to China, look for ricksaw pullers or bicycle taxi guys....

lol. There are no more ricksaw pullers in China! Things have changed dramatically in China over the past few decades. If you come to Shenzhen you will be surprised how modern and exciting this city is.

I've said it all along, Asian women need a strong hand to lead them, so they won't go astray. Those little bunnies, what would they do without a real man to make decisions for them. :bunny:

im japanese/german and find black girls attractive. its not a race thing at all, i also find white girls, asian girls, etc attractive. I used to see a black girl and she was very adorable, she knew how to keep things fun, and i just got a good vibe from her in general. for me and maybe im speaking for just me or many other asian guys but i like my girls to be classy and polite but be personable and exciting....get my drift?

Yep...I just got back yesterday from Okinawa, Japan (which is practically overrun with our military installations...) and this phenomenon was quite prevalent over there too...you'll see many Japanese nationals ogling over the "trophy white guys", as you put it...and it does seem like a status thing for Asian women over there...but at the same time, I suppose it's also a better life for many of them to marry an American who is just there for a few years...a meal ticket and a flight to the US...

A serviceman-meal ticket for a JAPANESE girl? surely you jest :p However, you are right about Okinawa's prime real estate being occupied by US military installations-the island after all was sacrificed by Japan in WW11-a thorny subject in the US-Japan relations....regarding the "trophy white guys", I actually do understand this as black guys(GIs) have a very bad reputation over there- sex crimes , as in rape.

But for a country that is for the most part homogeneous, it is interesting to note that there is a subculture of women (many from the mainland) who are sexually curious about gaijins (foreigners) and most notably, black guys-these women are called kokujos (thanks to the global proliferation of the MTV culture). Most will not marry them, however.

I also hope that you could tell the difference between the nationalities of the many bar girls in Koza or Kinville....most are from the Philippines or Taiwan.

For some reason unknown to me and my brother, Japanese people love Bob Sapp. Why? It must be his height and muscles. Asian men are attractive...just like any man of any race could be. I will admit that those Japanese guys doing the whole visual kei thing just...*coughs*fascinate me. I used to think they actually were women and felt weird for being attracted to them. Gackt!! Anyway, I'm attracted to the entire rainbow coalition. :bunny: All right, I do have a soft spot for Japanese and Korean guys. :o

I've noticed a few black girls/women posting that they are attracted to asian men. Is this partly because black women perceive their own mate value as lower than white women and are more open to dating asian men who are similarly lower in the dating heirarchy?

I don't know any black women but of the white or asian girls I know none, and I mean NONE, like asian guys. This is particularly emphasised by two asian girls I know, one Chinese and the other Vietnmese. If you mention a guy to them their first question is always 'Is he asian??'. If the answer is Yes they give a little sneer.

Despite being asian themselves these girls are clearly racist. Of course, the irony is lost on them.

 What the heck...?? I like Asian men because they are men. Just as I like African Americans, Native American, Islanders, Arabs, Jews, Africans, Caucasian, and all other men. Men are men. I really have no idea why I like Japanese and Korean men, aside from them being more attractive to me. That has nothing to do with the dating hierarchy but what I find interesting and beautiful. :)

I completely agree with this regarding asian women. But I don't think it's that the asian women are racist. Western culture and society has given them a perceived sense of entitlement by creating this exotic "aura" or "mystique" about them...so if white guys want them, there is no need to even look to the asian guys...

Also, they feel they will better assimilate and have a higher "status" in the US if they were with a white guy...almost as if they'd be embarassed to be dating an asian guy...basically, it's cooler to date a white guy, even if it's a white guy at the bottom of the white guy totem pole (and i've seen some decent looking asian girls who were with some pretty unfortunate white guys)...as long as he's white...she's game...

Well, I've seen many asian women go after white guys, luckily they aren't very pretty in the first place, and they also aren't very bright. The white guys they hook up with, are neither rich as they'd hoped, and they aren't that high up the social ladder.

First, let me preface that I am married to a loving and very handsome asian man. However, I think you are generalizing way too much for girls who date non asian/white guys.

If it's not that I fall in love with my husband, I would be open to date anyone and yes, I was attracted to some white guys or black in the past too, mostly for their personality + appearance. Also, the rich & social ladder, that's the one I dislike the most about asian culture in general. Where do you go to school? How rich you are? What does your family do? bla bla....seems very important while some women might look for something different (that is to find someone who loves them and treat them nice - social ladder is really not that important to some).

That sounds awful to me. I could never date a girl with that kind of attitude, towards her own people even. What kind of wife would she make, with that kind of perspective on life? Huge turn off.

yea it's pretty sad. me guess is that the girls in question are relatively young and influenced by the hollywood effect. (ie., masculine movie star hunks typically being caucasian).

One of them is 33 and the other one 26.

The 26 year old was an engineer at a defence company I worked at. She now develops mathematical models at an investment bank. Goes to show that even supposedly intelligent people can be shallow as hell.

I'm a black girl who's attracted to Asian men. I also don't perceive my value as lower than a white woman's-in any way. I'm attracted to men. Asian men are like any other men. What is "the dating hierarchy?"

What is "the dating hierarchy?"

There is no dating hierarchy. I asked if it was what black women perceived as a dating hierarchy because I've read many posts from black women in many forums complaining that black women have it harder in the dating game. Similarly, asian males seem to post a lot of 'why are asian men unattractive' threads.

There is no dating hierarchy as such, but these two particular groups (black females and asian males) seem to perceive there is one.

So sorry for the extremely late reply by the way. I suddenly got busy after making this post and I also thought that no one whould reply.

What is it that you find interesting about "us?"

Their eyes, lips and neck. They have slender looking long necks (even if they're slightly built). It's not that I don't find other men attractive, including those of my own race. It's just that I'm slightly more attracted to asian men than I am to men of any other race including my own. However I also go for character. I'm not a typical stereotyped type of black girl. I'm quite, and like to keep to myself and I specifically look for loyalty and characteristic in a person when it comes to dating. I don't like arguments or drama and such, so I always find ways of avoiding them in order to get on with people (therefore I idealy always look for someone somewhat similar.)

Personally for me, I find that a lot more asians fit into my ideal guy or rather an ideal guy I would concider having a relationship with. I know I would stray and never stray when in a relationship...most asian are like this. My grandparents have been together since they were 15 and they're now in their 70-80s. I gues this might be why I look for someone who will be loyal and won't stray (black men and caucasian men do this a lot more than the asian race.) maybe this has also influenced my preferences in a guy. Most good black men I've met and know are already taken and they are loyal but unfortunately most of them also end up with women who stray.

Anyhow I'm aware of some asian men looking down on women and cheating on them mostly in secret and sometimes even when the woman finds out they continue to do it and the woman often can't do much about it due to family reputations and such. The guy is somehow always favoured more than the woman. This is only a minority though, so I would still be willing to try a relationship with an asian guy. I just find their eyes and neck attractive. Maybe I have a eye and neck fetish? lol

Hi there, i am a Chinese. I am 26 years old male. I don't find black girls unattractive, I find some are quite pretty.you said you had been to asia so have you been to china before?

Yes, I have. I was there last year in summer as a matter of fact. I went to china, hong kong and japan. Chinese were kind when I asked for help and such, but the stares...and the pictures people took of me by asking and in secret when they though I didn't know...It was an interesting experience. I even met a family in a small village that invited me into their home and cooked for me. It was nice. They were confortable and they spoke to me no different than they would to their own. They didn't seem as fascinated as many that I met elsewhere in china and in that village. I guess they were one of those in the group of asians who don't really see colour and instead are just interested in personality.

All in all, I must say that my experience in japan was much better before I wasn't being stared at with mixed expressions and my picture being taken. Hong kong was also slightly better before the stares were a lot less and no pictures at all. I had a good experience in all three countries though. My next destination is South korea...hopefully that war doesn't break out.

The world would be a somewhat better place if everyone just waited to see someone's personality before shrewdly judging them.

P.S. I didn't go travelling to asia to find an asian guy. haha that would be silly of me to spentd the amount of money I spent to just go and do something like that. I just like travelling and I'm interested in asian cultures and languages. I'm actually interested in all languages and cultures, but the asian cultures and languages are just at the top of my list because I find them more interesting.

haha, bob sapp. You must watch a lot of pride fighting huh?

Well they like him because, honestly.. they like his attitude and persona... I'm sure if Hulk Hogan went to Japan and wore sumo gear and hung out with fellow japanese fighters drinking and acting silly, they would love him too.

Sometimes they tend to sort of worship a bit too much the 'biggest, baddest american' who happens to show asian-likability.. Meaning, he isn't a cocky arrogant d*** who has to act all bad and anti-asian...Bob Sapp is actually a very very 'nice' guy.

They could read thru fake likeness too, like american actors who go there to do commercials but really only for extra money or because they're faltering in america.. But bob sapp is totally down with the nihonjins... He has that sumo spirit, which is the gentle warrior...

As a Chinese myself, I must caution you against this thinking. Firstly, it really has to do more with the culture than the race in question. Ergo, a Chinese living in America all his life would be wildly different from a Chinese living in an Asian country. Secondly, it is true that Asian-Asian men are less likely to divorce... and the same is expected of their women. I truly do not think they are any less prone to cheat though.

To answer the initial question,

I'm physically attracted to any women who are beautiful to me, regardless of skin color. :) And yes, that includes black women. I'm not particular to a single race.
