nice guy or jerk?

I am in a long distance relationship. My boyfriend and I agree that we should both date other people while we are away from each other at school.

 

I have had a crush on a guy who lives in my apartment complex for a few months now. A couple days ago a bunch of us were partying and he and I hooked up. Not sex, just kissing. He seemed really into it and was very sweet that night. We stayed up all night cuddling and kissing and he didnt try anything else. In the morning when he walked me back to my apartment he said some really sweet things to me. I was so happy.

 

We had mentioned hanging out today, before we hooked up. So I went over to his place, but it seemed like he didnt want me there, so I just went home.

 

He knew about my other relationship before he kissed me. And I know there is someone that he see's long distance as well.

 

I do not normally hook up with guys but he is physically very much my type. And it seemed to me before that he was attracted to me. It seemed like we both just wanted to have fun that night with out any strings attached, but why cant he at least be nice to me now?

 

I just thought it would be fun to have a cute nieghbor to make out with once in a while. I thought since we are both in long distance relationships it wouldnt be a big deal. But I have no idea what this guy thinks of me.

 

Why would he be so sweet one day and act like such a jerk the next?

I think the guy feels the same thing that you do. However, he may have a deeper relationship with his girl, so he doesn't want anything that will make things complicated for them. Well, in due time, if he really can't resist you, he'll start knocking on your door...one of these days. Take time.

When you went to his apartment and it didn't seem like he wanted you there, that may have been your own sensitivity or he indeed may have had other pressing things on his mind. That doesn't mean the two of you can't be kissing buddies.

 

You need to attack this directly. Since you only want to be close friends, etc., just ask him straight away what the deal is. Let him know you enjoy being with him, doing things with him, and there are no strings attached.

 

In my opinion, you are open to another relationship. You really aren't getting what you need from this long distance thing and you are attracted to this guy in your apartment complex.

 

I think the cure to all your ills is to find someone nice that you are attracted to in the area where you live and develop a relationship that is fulfilling to you. The long distance thing is simply not doing it for you.
