on edge
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! How in the heck was that even helpful to the OP? Man, the nerve of some people. I disagree and do NOT advise you stop running. It is good for your health and will keep you toned. Maybe not 3 miles a day, but at least run a few miles like three times a week. The face that you use the word toned just shows your complete lack of knowledge about fitness. There is no such thing as toned. It is a myth. Muscles do not get toned. Muscles get bigger or smaller. People gain fat or loose fat. There is no way to tone a muscle. "Toning" refers to spot reduction of fat, which is completely impossible. Please stop spreading misinformation. OP, based on your goals, steady state cardio, esp running, will prevent any progress.
