I'm telling ya people I just CANT win these days!:mad: I just got back from the dentist for my routine cleaning. Well, what does she see? But a nodule that is round and white in color in the back side of my throat. I just can't take any more of all this medical C***! Now, I have to see an ENT person tomarrow to have the thing checked. God forbid it's throat cancer. The dentist did not think it looked like anything to worry over, but none the less to have it checked ASAP. Anyone else have a throat nodule that turned out to be nothing? OMG.. just when I was all excited about my skating now something else to worry about. SB129 if your around, I'd love your thoughts.

I've known someone who has. They had to have it removed, but that was it. It is most likely nothing in your case. I hope all goes well. Keep us updated Good luck:).

Thanks. I've been a bad girl and I've been looking things up on medical sites.. it making me very nervous.. so I'm going to stop it right now. I don't have any clue what it is?? It's not on or near my tonsils and not on my thyroid or vocal cords.. WTF? Perhaps it's a cyst? Guess I'll find out when I see the ENT.

OMG. OMG. I'm telling ya. The health providers in my area just suck. I had a followup with my primary and when he looked down my throat he said it was on my tonsil and it's called a crypt.. and nothing to worry about. Now the dentist told me it was on the back side of my throat.. Holy heck Who's telling me the truth?? WOW.. sorry.. had to update and rant for a minute.

I would go with what the doctor says.

Dentists are not trained in analyzing throat problems. They are urged to tell patients if there is something unusual in the mouth.

Think of it this way...if the dentist had said nothing and you developed throat cancer, then wouldn't you have liked him to have said something? Isn't it better to have him tell you and it be nothing than not tell you and have it be something?
