wakeboard_28
Anyone have a certain song or album that has helped them through a break up. For me the one song that helped was by Garth Brooks called THE DANCE. Some of those songs out there seem to fit well with your certain situation. Let me know what helped you through or what is helping you now.
LaLa
well, sometimes I listen to "Can't Go Back" (Sissel) and sometimes I listen to "Want you Back" (Jackson 5). heehee
mfrmboy
Believe by Cher is one that helped me. It describes how I feel. My ex was a selfish jackass.
dyermaker
Any song by Everclear, they're sing-a-long depression songs. Also, on the legendary Led Zeppelin front, "In my time of dying" is the sad breakup song, while "Dazed and Confused" is the get over it song. Then there's "Heartbreaker", but that's after you're already over it.
ca
The best positive thing to do, a good kick to self-motivation ( especially if the break up wasnt pleasant ) should be ' i will survive ' This ones helped me a real lot ! reservoirdog1
I don't know if this will help in your particular situation, but I listened to a lot of very loud Guns N' Roses, particularly while I was using a cross trainer at the gym. One song in particular I'd recommend is "I Don't Care About You." The chorus goes: I don't care about you F*ck you I don't care about you Anyway, you may not want to take this exact approach, but like I said, it worked well for me.

Vivid_29
'Breakdown' "...so, what do you do, with someone you're devoted to, and it seems they haven't got a clue, of all the pain and rejection they are putting you through? Do you cling onto your pride and sing 'I will survive'? Do you lash out and say, 'How dare you leave me this way'? Do you cling on in vain, as they slowly slip away?..." ~V

dyermaker
Aww, c'mon, what song on CODA do you enjoy? I've given it a chance, but I just don't like it. The remastered version has "Hey Hey What Can I Do" (Street Corner Girl) which I love, but that wouldn't have been on your "record".
