Earlier this evening I split a large cheese pizza with one of my male housemates. I had 3 pieces; he'd wolfed down what looked like at least 5--he's got a magic metabolism like I do, I swear he's a 300-pound man in a skinny college boy body , but anyway. He asked me if I wanted the last piece that had been sitting in the box for a few minutes and I said, "Sure, why not?" He said, "Good. I like girls who aren't afraid to eat. Girls who only have, like, one slice of pizza piss me off." I laughed.

So guys of LS, how important is a girl's appetite to you? Do you get turned off if she orders only a salad at dinner, or do you find it gross if she could put down a big T-bone with a side of mashed potatoes without blinking an eye? What about those girls who order something really fattening and pair it with a diet soda?

I like it when she orders something large, but then can't finish it. So, then I get to finish what she can't eat.

Personally, I like trying new restaurants and new types of food. So if a girl is too fussy about what she eats it's not going to work for me. I also think a lot of girls who don't eat much actually have body image problems, which is also a big turnoff. I mean, you don't need to be a pig about it, but for goodness sakes it doesn't hurt to have some fries or a milkshake sometimes.

Guys don't care how much a girl eats- they care whether it reflects the dress size they desire.

Thats why you never ask re: the last slice.

I always ask a girl if shes hungry first. Then I take her to an appropriate place, that way I dont have to watch her eat a salad.

I used to assume that if a girl is only eating a salad, or not eating at all, that she is too depressed to eat and I shouldnt be dating her.

BS

We care if shes eating all the appetizers.

Fortunately a well placed "its cool you dont care how fat your thighs are getting, most girls are so obsessed" usually works

wolf down a whole pizza- unattractive

eats nothing but salad- unattractive

healthy balance in between- attractive

"Cool, I'll add this pizza to my thighs while your hairline continue to recede"

I agree, my boyfriend was shocked when we ordered in a large pizza one night and I ate half of it by myself. Not a big deal to me but he was pretty shocked, lol. But then again I don't look like I eat that much, so I guess it doesn't really matter how much you eat, but more how much do you look like you eat.

Yeah, this seems to be true. I'm pretty thin myself and every guy I've known has expressed surprise at how much I'm capable of eating. Funny story: 2 years ago I went with a friend, her mom and younger cousin to NYC to see "Rent" on Broadway. We went to dinner at a place called Junior's and I finished my plate of beef goulash. My friend had ordered a roast beef sandwich that she couldn't finish, so I picked at what was left on her plate until it was gone. Her cousin is a really picky eater so she only got french fries; I finished those for her too. I had their plates on top of mine and when our server came back he looked at me and said, "I'm impressed! I should take you out to dinner sometime." I said, "Only if I don't have to share my dessert." :D

This is why what you eat would never be a problem for a guy.

Well, I already knew that. Just that what my friend said earlier tonight got me thinking this would be a good idea for a thread. :)

medium, regular.

if she eats way too much, I always get this image of her being fat after a few years... it never goes away.

B*tches need to EAT

My last girlfriend ate too much i told her shes not allwoed to eat and she needs too fast or only eat salads because she was nearing 125 lbs and she got mad and left

I don't blame her. Salads all the time? Ew!

Since meals are huge in the US and neither Beloved nor I are used to that (he's English, I'm just picky), we order one and split it. Works out great for both of us -- he wants to lose and I need to gain!

Im joking id never tell a women not too eat

This topic is a strange one because everybody's body is different. Guys generally like women with a big appetite, but women who gain weight easily simply cannot eat the same way normal people can.

There are plenty of guys who wouldn't date a vegan girl, and vegan girls who wouldn't date a non-vegan or vegetarian man as well and vice-versa. Diet seems like such a small deal but when you really think about it, most of going out has to do with food.

I need a vegetarian friendly SO, for sure. If he's a meat and potatoes kind of guy, I don't know that it'd work out, or that I'd even be attracted to him...

My last lover/BF/whatever was soooo good about this. He enjoyed vegetarian food. He also enjoyed ethnic food, which is always vegetarian friendly. We'd eat out at a lot of Thai or Indian places. So that's what I'm use to now and expect. lol

On the flipside, I know the diet I keep isn't very attractive in itself to a lot of guys. I mean, they can't plan that steak dinner or anything. lol. ALSO... I use to really suffer with an eating disorder and generally don't make a big deal out of eating anyway. Little remnants of that still come out and I'm sure the guy is thinking, "WTF"... like when I cut my food into little pieces, or when I get tipsy after one glass of wine because I haven't eaten all day. LOL

.....It helps being young and attractive. :p:p
