Yukikazi
Of course women can be superficial, but it's all about degrees of superficiality. As somebody else pointed out if a girl with a nice body posts a lingerie photo of herself most men who look at it will respond well. Yes we will.. that's why they post them. If a guy with a nice body posts a shirtless photo of himself most women may think he looks attractive but wonder whyhe posted that photo? What does that say about him as a person? It probably says the same thing as a girl with a nice body posting a lingerie photo. "Hey Look at me.. I'm sexy.. you wanna do me" Both reasons are the same.. for attention, compliments and the hope of picking up the person you are looking for. Women are more often trying judge character, in addition to attractiveness, where men mostly care about the latter. BS.. both sexes are equal in this. You think there are not guys out there that are looking for good women? Both sides have those that are superficial and base it all on looks Both sides have those that are looking and analying the deeper possibilities. You are still trying to word it so it seems that women are on the high horse when it comes to picking a mate.

New_Life08
Well, I agree. I met my bf on a dating site. We have been dating for 8 months now. But I remember getting messages from men who had pics of themselves flexing their muscles, or holding a can of beer, and you could tell they were half lit in the picture...LOL! I just X'ed them out. The no shirt thing would be okay if it was at the beach or something and included with other pictures. But when they are standing inside a garage with stolen road signs crookedly hung in the background, a workbench cluttered with beer cans, and flexing for the camera...lets just say....NEXT! The thing is...after this demonstration, the profile reads: "Shy at first, until I warm up", "Drinks Occasionally"! A lot of women do the same thing on those sites. I guess you have to go by how the photos make you feel. hehe
Yukikazi
Maybe not you, but women in general, they almost always prefer a guy a decent amount taller than them but think that too much muscle is "overbearing." Doesn't make any sense. I'm not seeing the contradiction either... You have tall thin/willowy guys/avg guys and big guys You can have basketball tall and thin.. or football tall and over muscled. cognac
Because she said too much muscle was 'overbearing.' With that logic, too much height would be 'overbearing' as well. Except women never seem to think there's such a thing as too much height unless it's exceptionally tall, and always say they don't like guys who are bulky. It's obviously a contradiction. Height = size, muscle = size. Too much size = overbearing apparently. Plus the stupid thing is they say they like tall guys because it "makes them feel like a woman." Well if a guy was muscular would it not make them feel the same way? There is no logical explanation for why women prefer (and by prefer I mean only like ) tall guys. It's just another little quirk of theirs and why we men should decide how the dating world works (like before the "feminist revolution").
