deux ex machina
I have a not-so-great combination of "winter blues" and "must get a lot done". I have this sitting in front of me right now: 5-HTP. This was recommended for me to try. On the bottle it says it says to take 2 tablets (I shall take one or half of one instead). If I take one, I would be taking in 50 mg. of 5-HTP (l-5-Hydroxytryptophan). Additionally, there's a bit of Vitamin-C + B6 to help it along. I read the warning label well; no contraindications. I'd like to know if any of you have tried it? What were your experiences? Was it easy to stop taking it? Did you find it helpful?

Author deux ex machina
no clue about 5-htp.... but any b-complex blends will help with mood, stress and the like. I checked it out - thank you for your help. It is strange but I think I feel an effect already. It has to be the placebo effect. But maybe not. Thanks again.
Enema
A friend swears by it as something to take to reduce the effects of a come-down after a night on E. Never really could tell if it worked.
Author deux ex machina
A friend swears by it as something to take to reduce the effects of a come-down after a night on E. Never really could tell if it worked. Your post sent me looking up stuff on erowid. Apparently, it's pretty common - I didn't realize. Looking up the effects on serotonin re: 5-HTP and E, I can see how it makes sense. It appears to be working for me so far. It's a subtle effect, but it does feel significant. Thanks, Enema!
