I just met this woman, and apparently are schedules are complete opposite, I work typical weekday hours, and mostly available Fri Sat and Sun, and she works those very days...even till close on those nights.

Anyone have issues trying to date someone who works in the restaurant industry? Esp when you have "bankers hours"? lol

lets see.. monday through thursday nights

weekend days and evenings cause if she closes at 4am she starts at 8pm.

You guys can hook up between shifts.. you put her to bed and she wakes you up..

My father worked in the industry from 1959 til 2006.

He's vehemently told my brother and I never to date waitresses or bartenders. Most of his rationale was that 99% of the women he met in the industry were trashy/scummy.

Frankly, if you happen to find that 1% "good girl" and she likes you and wants to date you, then you find a way to make it work. If she's on the fence or blah about you, then don't waste your energy.

Also bear in mind that waitresses/bartenders are paid to be nice to you and flirt even to get that tip. Too many times I've seen guys ask and tell of how they think the girl at the bar/restaurant likes them, only to come back later and find out she's got a man or wasn't interested. They took her kindness as interest.

Me personally...I'm done with inconvenient girls. If she has no time to be my GF or has some massive obstacle, then she's better off remaining single and I'm not dealing with it. Relationships do require work, but dating shouldn't be a massive undertaking/chore.

Well, the one I know, I didn't meet at a restaurant, been there done that, lol

But, I have known guys who decided to become "Regulars" at a "Chili's" or Ruby Tues."

And try to sit at the station the girl he likes works at, eventually they ask them out, and that's when they find out the news.
