SuburbanOblivion Posted December 11, 2009 Share Posted December 11, 2009 Hey everyone My SO was here from Ireland for a week, and it was our first time as a "normal" couple since both divorces are done. This has been such a long, difficult journey for both of us, it was wonderful to just be us for awhile. We had our friends over for the evening on Sunday, and Paul decided to pop the question at the end of the evening. He hadn't told anyone he was going to, and he'd made a comment about wanting to make sure we never break up again, and one of our friends decided to be a smartass and get that statement on video..the result is we actually got the proposal recorded! We have a long way to go yet (Visa Journey here we come!) but we are determined to make it. We've been doing the long distance thing for nearly 2 years, and while it's hard at the best of times, it's absolutely worth it Link to post Share on other sites
