1. My pride - no matter what i always stick to my own well-being

It's not so much things I love about me as gifts I'm grateful for. I don't think people can easily create all aspects of their personalities; some come from innate talents, others are governed by heredity, early influences, etc. I take no credit for the gifts I have; rather I thank God for having given me them and I try to use them well in return. In no particular order:

 

1. intellect

2. capacity for empathy, compassion, and love (despite what Bark might think)

3. joy in living

4. optimism, enthusiasm

5. health and energy to enjoy all of the above

My undying belief, and the sense of commitment that comes with it, that through my actions I will leave this world a better place than I found it.

 

I have helped several troubled kids who are now either graduated from high school and attending secondary education, or well on their way.

 

I have helped take in numerous stray animals at my local shelter, and helped them find homes.

 

In what little relationship experience I have, I was a very good boyfriend.

 

I do some photography as a hobby, and a few years ago I was down at my local park playing frisbee with my dog, and I noticed a mother and daughter swinging. It just struck me as a very endearing moment, so I snapped a few pictures of it with a camera I had placed in my backpack. I got their address and promised to send them a copy of it when I got it developed. It turned out so beautifully that I had it enlarged and framed, and I mailed it to them. It really was a stunning picture. The family called me after they receieved it, and they invited me to eat dinner at their house. They had it hanging above their mantle, and they said it really meant a lot to them. I was invited to the daughter's high school graduation last year, and she said she was taking the picture with her.
