That's a good instinct because he absolutely doesn't want you to see him for who he really is. That's why the texts he sent were all over the place - i love you, i hate you, i'm going to kill your dog, let's be friends, i love you, i'm with someone new. Do you get how completely deranged he is? The next time he threatens you, your dog, your home, your family - whatever - tell him, "Do not ever threaten me again. If you do, I'll go to the police."
