Author apiman
I know I've kinda already said this, but here is how I feel right now. My friend offered up the idea that this girl enjoyed messing with people's minds, and I agree with that statement to some degree. She always found it amusing that I liked her and played with my mind by flirting with me because I assume she thought it was funny. I'm positive she never once took an interest in me as a person but took an interest in toying with me. This is why it's uncomfortable to her now because she never really thought of me as a friend or someone she liked, and it's like talking to a complete stranger. Therefore, if I am to become her friend, I would have to treat it as if I'm calling up somebody I don't know and starting right from the beginning. That's something I don't think she'd want to do, and I don't know if I can do it. I can't really talk to her about the past with her because she thought of it as a joke and nothing worth remembering. This bothers me because I still think he's not like other girls, and I can't stop until I know of some valid flaw in her. One flaw I guess is that her intentions toward me were never really postitive, but it's possible she has changed over the years and would be a good person to know.
AllyKate
I understand but she doesnt seem interested in anything with you. That is a flaw. You cant force someone to be with you or to be a friend. It comes naturally. Let her come to you if its meant to be, dont look foolish.
mjk
If push comes to shove, then you've been knocked the %! out. Leave the whole thing alone and you will be a better person for it. I can see a leash around your neck. Don't be somebody's dog. Be proud dude. You have got a lot going for you. Getting over someone is tough. I had the full-blown "crush" thing on a girl when I was in high school and it took a long time (Soph to Senior) to quit thinking about her all the time. Now...years later (not telling how many!) I'm glad we didn't hook-up back then. At least in the context of where she is now. The first loves are the hardest? But, at least to me they are some of the one's that lay the foundation for the next. Build a good foundation for yourself!

OneSexyBitch
Apiman, First, Let me start by saying that you mentioned in your posting, that you thought that she may be above you. That's crap. No one is above anyone. No matter the color, race, age, religion, or money situation. The only thing to do to find out just where you stand, so that you can go on with your life, is just talk to her. Find out her likes, dislikes, hobbies, what she's taking in college etc. You never know. Just be yourself. Don't pretend to be someone your not. That is what gets me. Men/Women pretend to be someone their not just to get the attention of someone. Then when that someone finds out that the person they are starting to like is not who they really think they are. Just be yourself. If she starts to like you, then you know in your heart, that she likes you for you. I have a saying, "Like me for who I am and not for what you think you can change me into". I hope your successful. If she wants nothing to do with you, then it's her loss. Good Luck!!
