Not sure if I asked this in the past or not, but if I did, I am sorry for the inconvience. If I did not ask, then I am curious as to what inspires you? It could be anything. Does art inspire you to do something artsy? There are so many things to be inspired by. ARe you inspired by a certain someone in your life?

Oh, interesting question!

My mother inspires me, because she came through a hellacious childhood with her spirit intact (though she was still doing a lot of healing while I was growing up), because she values altruism, and because she moves unhesitantly from idea to action (something I'm still working on).

Great poetry and great novels inspire me, if only to cherish words, even if I don't combine them into poems or paragraphs myself.

Animals inspire me to be spontaneous and goofy and sensual and present in the moment (I suppose children can do the same, but I'm hardly ever around them!)

I'm not much of a "static arts" person--meaning I'm just generally ignorant of painting and photography and sculpture, but great filmmakers can inspire me to see the world differently.

And many, many people inspire me to travel and explore and seek out the wonders of the world.

Cool idea for a thread!

Children inspire me. They can be so giving, so lovable, smart and surprising.

Words definitely inspire me, more so than a painting or a photo. Novels and poetry definitely have an impact on me as well as really good movies and documentaries.

I'm an animal lover but I've never thought of animals as an inspiration. Hmmm, interesting.

monkey is inspired by his art (even tho he's lazy to draw sometimes), my future goals also.

no one in particular inspires me, maybe myself? i dunno ;)

"i am my own inspiration"

you should try thinking that yourself longlegz it's really beneficial

such that a fact that, you see yourself accomplish goals towards your future you will genuinely make yourself proud and content.

seeing someone else accomlish goals, then influencing you to go for your goals is not at all taking leadership of the road you walk. it's more like walking in someone's shadow.

YOU take leadership, YOU take the steering wheel and point yourself into the right direction, in reality....only YOU know what needs to be done and has to be done for your success, no one can tell you what's wrong or right. YOU decide.

so remember "I am my own inspiration" :D

Music. WIthout a doubt.

Be it classical, Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, movie soundtracks, music helps get my creative juices flowing.
