Hi there, Im kinda new at this forum thing...=), but I wanted some advice. Im am shy in nature and have recently gained confidence with talking to girls, I guess with age. I dont have problem talking to girls anymore its just that I really dont know what to say. I will Be at a movie, bowling ally, or at like starbucks and I will notice a girl looking at me and smiling. Most of the time they are pretty cute and I would like to go up to them and talk to them, but I really dont know what to say. I could say Hi, but in reality that kinda seems wierd. Even if I do get their attention I cant keep a conversation going. Any advice would help, thank you..

Well no cheesey pick up lines is a first! LOL

How about just moseying over and saying hi? If this girl is checking you out, smiling, all that, then you never know unless you try! I would rather someone try to come talk to me than to just run out of the room if I've been scoping them out.

Ask questions. Ask about her, about what she likes, about if she's enjoying the day, place, activity, etc. She will either start asking you questions back or something one of you says will lead off into other topics and you'll be conversing.

Oh Wow,

I kinda asked this same question in "What do you say to a strange lady at a bar, mall....."

I rec'd a lot of feedback you might be able to use.

What I really found out is that I do just fine. Talk about whatever because if there is a spark there your gonna know it my friend, and she will too!

Try to keep from sweating too much! lol!

Good luck!!!

Well, last night at the bowling alley, this cute girl walked by and I just said, while playing pool, "Hey!" and she turned to me and smiled and said hi and I asked, "Can I take a picture of you? I just got this thing for Christmas" and she posed and smiled for the digital camera and I took the picture. I could've talked to her more but I was drunk and in the middle of a pool game.

So it ain't hard.

I agree with UCFKevin,

Sometimes the best things to say/do are right there as it's happening!

Even if you are young, reading the local paper for info is good for things to talk about, at least then its not just "Hey...been raining a lot today, huh?"

You'll find stuff like things to do, places to go for events, etc.

I like UCFKevin's idea!! Any girl would be flattered by a comment like that! :)

Also, I just got a digi cam so I know what that's like! You just want to take pictures of everything, so why not take one of a beautiful person? ;)

And listen to moimeme - girls love to talk and will talk when they are asked questions! So ask away - she'll know that you're interested in her and you'll get to learn more about her.

Good luck!

It did?! Holy CRAP, I was just kidding, I was sprayed with mace and got a restraining order against me when I did that picture thing.
