Emotional wreck for xmas

I just left my boyfriend today (not broke up.....just left on an airplane). I was visiting him in Georgia and I live in Chicago when we are not at school. Although we live together at school (purdue) in our own apartment. we havent been seperated for 4 months except a few days around thanksgiving. So I am an emotional wreck now. I dont know how to feel better. since i left i dont feel like doing anything but waiting for him to call or watch movies. Does mean that our relationship is doomed? that i am a control freak? That something is wrong with our relationship? or is this normal??

 

someone just let me know what they think...... I listen to anything right about now.

well. my girlfriend left four weeks ago. i feel pretty much the same as you. i have gone out with my mates to take my mind off her, but i'm checking my email everyday, everytime the phone goes i hope it's her.

 

we'd been together for 3 months, and i guess it's just that honeymoon period when things are sooo good you just want to be with them, or talking to them or whatever all the time.

 

if i was him, i'd be glad you feel like that at the beginning. you will get back into the swing of things, it is way more difficult at the beginning, but as time goes on, it does get easier, especially if you know when you'll next see them.

 

i'm lucky, i jet off halfway around the world to be reunited with my love on boxing day. we get to spend just over a week together, and then i have to come back to australia. it will be tough then as i don't know when her travels will be over, so i won't know when i'll next see her. hopefully not too long though!

 

keep the faith, we may both be control freaks (lol) but i think that is pretty normal behaviour if you've spent so much time together. i think for me i didn't spend a single night without her in the 3 weeks before she left - and we don't live together!!!
