Taco Bell Drive-thru Diet

Recommended Posts

My internal skeptic is jumping up and down, waving her arms, and shaking her head.

Truly, however, I'm not that informed about it, it seems they just started this ad campaign. But my gut reaction is a raised eyebrow.........

As it should be. The diet works on the very basic principle that minimizing your food intake causes you to lose weight, but it's not taking into account the quality of said food and the fact that extreme caloric restriction's generally not a good thing for your metabolism.

It's yet another scheme for people who still apparently don't believe in the efficacy of the tried-and-true method of increasing your intake of veggies/fruits/lean meats and decreasing your intake of crap, drinking more water, and getting off your ass more often.

you could potentially loose weight eating anything as long as you burn more calories then you eat.

I lost a lot of weight eating Chipotle every day for lunch. Salad, no rice, black beans, chicken, salsa, and guacamole.

You know, you could do a McDonalds diet. They have salad, fruit, milk, etc. It just depends on what you order. You could go to any fast food joint and loose weight there. If you do the Taco Bell diet, can you avoid the foods with the most calories?

I think its easier to eat a bit lighter at TB than McDonalds

If I go to TG I usually get two bean burritos and load them up with jalapenos and fire sauce and a diet soda

At McD's Ill get a fish filet, medium fries that I dip in mayo and a diet soda and it seems much greasier

I don't eat fast food often- maybe 4-5 times a year when I have a hangover.

I've had Taco Bell once in my life - and will never eat there ever again. It was years ago - and without getting into details - I lost about 8 pounds.

The taco bell diet should be as follows.

Hi, do you regularly eat at Taco Bell? If you're think why yes I do, then stop! thats right, just stop eating here and pretty much anything you eat instead will probably make you lose weight.

its not a diet if that person has to go drive through.. that person needs to park the car and walk in there.

I think I would lose weight, you know why? I would be on the can every day, every five minutes and be ill from eating that crap every darn day. Way to go bulemic without trying. Ugh don't do it:)
