samsungxoxo
How come I never had a best friend and can't seem to keep up long conversations? I'm currently going to work on a selling positive but even to convince people, I have to actually memorize parts on the script in order for the words to come naturally. I know for us women, it's suppose to be easier to develop friendships. They are helpful in overwhelming times, break-ups, etc. so what's wrong with me? Currently all I have is acquaintance and my few friends from the US.
purgatori
Nothing is 'wrong' with you. To me it sounds like, based on limited information, you're just fairly introverted, and may even have a touch of social anxiety. I, too, struggle with friendhsips and have to memorize a 'script' prior to most social interactions, but have improved significantly after undergoing psychotherapy. I am not saying that psychotherapy is necessarily warranted in your case, or that you have a 'disorder', as such, but you may want to investigate some counselling to help you improve your social skills. Thank you for your input. I will be seeking counseling to improve my social skills. Forming friends has always been difficult for me.
