*steps on soapbox*

*corrects post title that says "please" in an attempt to be less condescending and a bit nicer because the word "Please" is a violation of community guidelines*

*growls* LOL

I keep seeing multiple instances of this in multiple posts so I have to say something because it seems as if people don't know they are doing it.

Will you PLEASE STOP using "women" to refer to "a woman"?!?!?! It is not correct.

Women = plural. A word referring to more than one woman.

Woman = singular. A word referring to A SINGLE WOMAN. Not single as opposed to taken, but single as in quantity - ONE WOMAN.

Please STOP saying "man I can't believe this women did this" or "these woman did this" and instead say "man I can't believe this WOMAN did this" or "these WOMEN did this".

*steps off soapboax in the hopes that this will stop occurring but slowly comes to the realization that his efforts are futile at best*.

Oh, well. :)

:lmao: I'm guessing that the posters making this mistake will overlook this thread entirely.

It was amusing, and a valiant effort though!

Amen.

I'm guessing those people will start using the correct phrasing of "women/woman" when those same people also use the correct phrasing of "than/then," "now/know," and my personal favorite, "affect/effect."
