mark1210
Hello Folks, My fiance is 16 weeks pregnant, we've been engaged for 3 months with a wedding planned in March. Her decision to move forward and marry has changed from yes, to no, to maybe..at first it was a weekly change, daily change and almost hourly at this point. So here we are with 118 people ready to come visit, most from out of town and she is still up in the air on moving foward or not. She says she loves me but knows I won't forgive her if she backs out. She still wants to remain together but just cancel or postpone the wedding. But then this morning, she wants to go forward. Is it hormones? Is it jitters? Is it even normal?? How have you handled this situation? It's driving me insane slowly. I'm almost to the point of just making the decision for her since she cannot. I know her family has spent tons of money but there is no point for my friends to book fights, buy gifts etc. I've been very supportive the past month with regards to telling her its normal, its jitters and it'll be just fine. Last week I e-mailed the pastor telling him of her behaviors and he said it'll all work out. Doesn't help me much..... PS - She hasn't bought a ring yet, she put a deposit down on a dress but hasn't purchased it yet. Thanks!
Lauriebell82
I'm very sorry to tell you this but: she doesn't want to marry you. Generally girls do not constantly think about cancelling and/or postponing their wedding, they are thinking about their dress, shoes, rehearsal dinner, church, and everything that goes along with a wedding. If you continue to tell her it's jitters she will marry you with hesitation OR even worse decide to just leave you at the alter. NOW, do you know what her hesitation is for getting married? Most women who find themselves unmarried and pregnant WANT to make it legal! What's her deal? Sit down and make her tell you everything she is worried about and try to be understanding and listen to her. Also, WOULD you end it if she said she wanted to postpone the wedding?
