lordWilhelm
Whenever I'm with her on videochat I don't know what to do. I like it because I get to see her, but the convo is more lively on phone or IM. Any videochat tips or suggestions?
hoping2heal
why can't you two just talk like normal? I mean, just because you are on cam doesn't mean you need to do back flips and put on a 3 ring circus.
mammax3
I agree. We just sit and chat as though we were in person. Gazing, flirting, smiling, occasionally carrying each other through our places (we use laptops though). There have been times I've cooked while we're on skype. Mostly just 'normal' stuff. Meaplus3
Not a big fan of skype. I find it to be a snooze. (yawn) Would much rather talk to the person via phone or in person on a daily basis. Mea:)
Meaplus3
ummmm this is an LDR forum... Yes.. and I gave my thoughts about skype. Mea:)
Rollercoasterr
I like sightspeed a lot better. The video quality is much, much better and although Mathew and I have plans on our phones that allow us to talk as much as we want for free, Sightspeed also has the voice capability. My laptop has a microphone built in so it makes it much better that I wouldn't have to wear a big ole' headset. As far as what to do...Mathew and I don't do much of anything really. We surf the web, we play games, whatever. I don't feel like I have to stare at him every second, and neither does he. Sightspeed has this feature that allows you to dock it to where it doesn't go away if you go to something else on your computer. It's always there. Good luck!

Pyro
I like Skype but unfortunately it didn't like a certain someones computer. OP just be yourself. Its not rocket science.
zebracolors
I use Skype to chat with my LDR too. You have to get creative really, if you both have cams, then there are alot of possibilities. My guy and I have favorite shows we watch together while we're on Skype. And as Mammax says cooking is another thing. Other things..well, if you're both comfortable with the other seeing alot of you..and I'm sure I don't need to go into more detail here;)

Author lordWilhelm
OP just be yourself. Its not rocket science. That's funny, because I actually do rocket science and sometimes it's easier than Skype
Shucky
Does anybody else find that skype drops out a lot or often has really poor quality sound/interference? It might just be my internet but often me or my SO will call and not be able to hear each other or halfway through a convo we turn into computers!! maybe its time to change! SuburbanOblivion
Shucky, it all depends on your bandwidth. If either of us are doing any heavy downloading it makes the connection terrible. If you have a slow internet connection, be careful of doing things like watching youtube videos or streaming music at the same time.
