Author bananaboat11 Posted January 29, 2010 Author Share Posted January 29, 2010 ha. i just read this whole thread through. all im saying is when it happens, i want to be in the wedding. thats all... also i feel so much like banana its crazy. my ex was smoking., it made me feel great. she left. i feel like ****. all the rebounds have been hot but not her hot. i feel ugly a lot, insecure, you guys know the deal. i walk into rooms now with my chest out and head up. shave look as good as ive ever have, but deep down the confidence isnt there unless im 5 deep with 2 shots of jameson sitting on the bar ledge. the weird thing is ive gotten a lot done in my life since the breakup. doing my first live sketch comedy show this monday and have like 15+ friends showing up without even asking them. its going to be awesome and their are no sketches about breakups although a lot about masturbating for some reason...hmm... anyway... congrats mcgrupp! I feel you man... it isn't easy. I go into my lab and for a 4 hour metabolic test on a study participant... I think of her sitting, waiting in my office... I come in and she would have a big hug and kiss for me and whisper sweet nothings in my ear... ...that doesn't happen anymore. It's hard to meet someone in grad school... everyone in my dept is either married or... umm... unattractive (like, seriously unattractive) or old.. and my time / passion is for the gym and my research... so that consumed about 10-15 hours of my day as it is... hmm i'll probably grow old alone and die alone. Yours isn't the only grad school, bud. Broaden your horizons! Johns Hopkins is what... a 6-hour drive from Massachussetts? You got any buddies there that are alumni or current students?
