Had my first ever JW's knocking on the door

I've got to get my mind out of the gutter. I read that last word as "good" ... :laugh:

I don't recall ever having been approached by j-dubs or mormons, though living in the Bible Belt, I have had some well-meaning, sweet teenage Baptists door-bangers come 'round. They were nice – and clean – little girls, who fervently believed that they were doing their part to help save souls, bless their hearts, so I didn't have the heart to turn them out. We prayed together (kind of cool), then as soon as they left, I called my friend to send me a "Catholic household, your religious materials not required" and got my husband to drill a crucifix to the door.

In the past week, we've had two tranches of JWs knocking on our door, as well as being accosted on the street, a couple of times. The minute they identify themselves as JWs, is the minute I interrupt them and say "no thanks", closing the door or walking away.

 

My old place was a condo, with security gates and doors. Wish I still had those. JWs are so annoying.

We get a few in my neighborhood...I just tell them that I'm a lesbian atheist and they usually can't get away quickly enough!

I had a religous nut send me a PM on Youtube once. I just told him 'sorry, I don't believe in that kind of stuff', and he then just left me alone, which I wasn't expecting.
