New beginnings (yet again LOL)

Recommended Posts

A year ago today, I waved him off to what was to be a six-month job away. He was to 'heal' and we were to work at reconstructing the relationship on his return. I was determined to not be a quitter and to try every possible thing before throwing in the towel. It had been pretty wretched for a lot of the time, but surely there had to be something salvageable. Finally, I had to face the fact that I had, once again, invested more time than I should have in a lost cause. It crashed two months later and relief followed not long after.

Last Jan 1, I thought there'd be a great new beginning in '03. Turned out not so much that way. I think this every Jan 1 - some have played out and some not. Nonetheless, being soundly afflicted with 'triumph-of-hope-over-experience-itis', I am cheerful and excited about the prospect of '04 and what it may bring. I've done my regroup/re-evaluate thing and it's time to embark on Life Plan #11465A LOL.

To everyone who's had a rough go of it, I hope that you, too, face the coming year with anticipation.

When I raise my glass at 'my' midnight (last stop on this continent for the New Year; most of you will be long abed), I'll wish peace, love, and many blessings for you all while I'm wishing the same for my 3D pals.

best to all

Merry

Moimeme

Thanks so much for for being here and for being our virtual confidant. I'm still new to LS, but I have benefitted greatly from reading your posts, and to your specific replies to what I have had to say.

I can honestly say that you and the other LS posters have helped put me on a great path from a rocky 2003 to what I believe will be a great 2004. Heck, I may even change my user name to something more positive! ;^)

So... happy new year -- I've got a good feeling about this one!

I too will toast all my LoveShack cyberbuds. It has been a rough year, but without LS, it would have been even rougher.

For that I'm deeply grateful.

Cheers!!!

Thanks moimeme -

I had a similar start to 2003, returned from a nice family trip to retrieve an RV from a relative, visions of wonderful trips for the new year dancing in my head until I caught him and OW in flagrante delicto in said RV a week later in a park near his office. He came crawling back and we tried another 6 months. Wish I had known about LS then, might have saved myself a whole lot of grief.

But not to dwell on the past - Onward!! to wonderful relationships in every aspect of our lives. I'm better for having read everyone's posts.

:)

hugs from the not-so-brash gal
