Going to a movie get-together soon, what to do?

Recommended Posts

I have been invited to a get-together to watch movies this week (people I don't know, friends of the woman who invited me that I'd also like to meet). However, this girl is showing an interest in me, and has said things such as "I am worried about our get-together, that you will pretend I don't exist". Thing is, we have never truly met yet as we met online (we go to separate schools).

My question though is how I should deal with this. I haven't met her in person so I can't say yet that I am all for pursuing a more meaningful relationship, but what I should do if I decide to go for it, or what I should do if I suddenly decide otherwise. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

go meet 'em in person. it's very hard to judge people by their online activity only. i mean, what have you got to lose? it's just a movie thing.

can you bring a friend of your own as well? that might help ease any tension - even if the evening is a bust, you can still see a movie with a bud.

Two’s company and three’s a crowd. You have a whole squad.

First impressions are everything. You will have to compete with all of those people for her attention, and that can hurt your chances. Not only that, but you also have to win their approval as well as hers.

This could be a clique and they could pull her strings. Cliques tend to be exclusive.

I suggest you date her with just the two of you. After a few dates, allow some friends here and there.
