For those of you who would like to gauge of your healing compared to other's on this website here is where i am after breaking up with my boyfriend about 4 and a half months ago....

i went no contact for a little over two months before i wrote him a long letter which he replied to a week later. i replied to that letter 3 weeks later and re-added him on facebook as a gesture of goodwill and "no hard feelings"

but seriously people stick to no contact b/c it gives you time to think and deal with your own emotions without distractions so you can heal the emotional wound. after i befriended him i asked him to bring me some things back from dutyfree within a day he said he would and he's been back in the country for 1 week now and has not contacted me since!

So that gave me the final push that i needed to truly let go and delete all SMS's on my mobile phone from him or that i sent him...all memories are now effectively deleted so no more looking back!

there were really dark times in the healing process, failed mid-terms, tearful nights, listless days heheh you will look back and giggle at yourself later fir the irrational fears, drama and distraction the breakup caused...but it's all part of the growing up into mature adults process...seems we were never meant to really be for each other not like this not right now at this stage in our lives and that's okay people you deserve someone who will be successful in loving you :) but after you learn to love yourself b/c i think a lot of us would not be suffering as much as we are if we had not used our relationship to distract us on the honest to goodness hard work it is to work on ourselves!

so of course there are days when i still miss him but i promise the tears will subside and here is a lovely poem i read

I shall miss loving you.

I shall miss the

Comfort

of your embrace.

I shall miss the

Loneliness

of waiting for your

calls that never came.

I shall miss the Joy

of our comings,

and Pain

of your goings.

and,

after a time,

I shall miss

missing

loving

you.
