whichwaytogo Posted February 15, 2010 Share Posted February 15, 2010 okay, long story short. i love this man and want to be with him the rest of my life (i feel that now). i have been divorced 2 x and know that marriage does not guarantee anything. i dont really want to mess up what we have. we are committed to each other. i would have a baby with him. i just dont know if i want to marry. what i dont want to happen is that awkward situation where the proposal is made and i would have to say no. that would be heartbreaking....i dont want that. how do i bring this up to him (before he proposes) without sounding assuming? I think that is the ultimate compliment to a man. Most women just want a man to marry them or all cards are off the table. What you are saying is you don't need marriage to love him completely.
