xtreme
Alright Ive been bench pressing, increasing my weights little by little. But the past 2 days I could only do 2-3 reps of it when normally i can lift it easier. I was force to decrease the weights by 5 lbs, is that normal? Like some days you cant lift what you can normally left and your force to bring the weights down? I just felt disappointed lol Let me know any advice. Thanks

Thanks You've reach a "plateau" with that exercise. Also, It sounds like your lifting heavy, (good). But recovery time is crucial. Three days minimum . So if you're working your chest on Mon. Fri. would be the next chest workout. So, lay off the bench press. Switch to dumbbell flyes for a while. And remember the importance of recovery time!

USMCHokie
They're just having fun with you dont listen to them Oh...I was supposed to give a serious answer too...? xtreme, I need a little more information to give you a helpful response...how long have you been on your workout plan...? are you consistent in when you're working out...? even time of day affects me like you wouldn't believe...I'm extremely worthless in the morning... What is your normal rep/set range? Are you eating before workouts? If so, how long before? Like skydive mentioned, how exactly are you breaking down your workouts for the week? betamanlet
do NOT bench press! I wish I never started. if you do, you cannot quit, or your pecs turn into moobs. I have huge pecs, and if I stop, which I basically have, they will become moobs, so I constantly have to do pushups, pullups, and I've been lazy about it recently. No bragging rights are worth it.. I started when I was 16, now I'm 34.. Big mistake.

betamanlet
Hmmm...yea...mine are already starting a sag a little...this does not bode well for me... you have to constantly do chest exercises or it will turn to fat.

skydiveaddict
you have to constantly do chest exercises or it will turn to fat. Are you saying he should not do chest exercises?
USMCHokie
Are you saying he should not do chest exercises? Actually, after reading that again, I would have to disagree with what he said... Muscle doesn't "turn" into fat if you stop exercising...it will eventually get "eaten away" by your body due to atrophy, but as long as you maintain a decent diet, muscle won't turn into fat...you'll just get smaller... However, if you stop working out and start eating like crap, then your body will start storing that excess as fat, which generally will sit on top of your muscle...which gives that appearance of muscle "turning" into fat...(e.g. moobs)...
