FlirtNumb
I'm becoming friends with a sales guy at work. We chat everyday, and have hung out during lunch and outside of work twice. He said to let him know if we plan anything. I've noticed sometimes he'll hang around me, but not say anything. I get the feeling like he wants to say something, but holds back. I know sometimes I get a little shy around him too. He always puts me in a good mood, and just makes me laugh. A few times, a few of us would be talkin and a sexual joke would be made and he'd get flustered. I'd like to hint to him that I'd like to be friends would benefits, but dont wanna come on to strong or make myself look easy. I made a comment to him that I thought he was 5 years younger than what he is, and he said that made him feel good. He's about 10 years older.

Isn't that a bit of a contradiction ? A FWB relationship is normally where both people are a bit easy.. it is about sex and not about a relationship. I would say you just ask him out.. Remember though.. the old rule about not dating people you work with.. How will this affect your job when it is over.. because all FWB relationships end sooner or later. zebracolors
Not real experienced in this but seems to me that common sense tells me he's taking things slow, maybe deciding how he is really feeling like if its something stronger then just friendship. Guess just let him go at his own pace, but when he does make a move just accept it of course. That way he doesn't feel pressured to decide what he wants to do?
Author FlirtNumb
Ya. I guess part of me is just shy and afraid of bein hurt again. I know he's been hurt in the past too. But time has passed.. art, thats exactly what i want.. just a friendly friend whose ok to let loose a little without strings.. i know some people frown upon that, just not sure how he views it.. anne1707
But if you are already afraid of being hurt then you should not do FWB - you should be able to separate your emotions from this if it is to be "no strings" and it sounds as if you cannot do that.
