JENNI Posted June 30, 2000 Share Posted June 30, 2000 IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME IN OUR RELATIONSHIP FOR ANYTHING. MY BOYFRIEND OF 4 YEARS IS WORKING FULL TIME, GOING TO SCHOOL THREE NIGHTS A WEEK AND SLEEPS AND STUDIES THE REST OF THE TIME. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED? I THINK I AM SO USED TO THE SAME ROUTINE THAT NOW THAT IT IS DIFFERENT I AM WORRIED. THIS PAST WEEKEND HE WORKED A DOUBLE SHIFT OF 14 HOURS HE CAME OVER TO SEE A MUTUAL FRIEND OF OURS AND THEN AT ABOUT 1130 TOLD ME THAT HE WAS GOING HOME. OUR FRIEND RODE TO MY HOUSE WITH MY BOYFRIEND, I THOUGHT THIS WAS A REASON TO NOT STAY WITH ME THE NIGHT. I THOUGHT HE WAS GONE FOR THE NIGHT, OUR FRIEND TOLD HIM ON THE WAY HOME THAT OUR RELATIONSHIP WAS FADING FAST AND THAT HE NEEDED TO SPEND SOME TIME WITH ME IF HE WANTED IT TO LAST. WHILE I THOUGHT HE WAS ON HIS WAY HOME, HE SHOWED UP BACK AT MY HOUSE AND STAYED THE NIGHT WITH ME. THIS WHOLE WEEK HE HAS BEEN IN THE SAME HURRY, I HAVE NOT SEEN HIM SINCE SUNDAY MORNING, AM I JUST PARANOID? Link to post Share on other sites

Randy Posted July 1, 2000 Share Posted July 1, 2000 Your boyfriend is doing what he feels he has to do for his future. No matter how busy he is, though, he should be able to find a small amount of very quality time for you. If you have talked to him and he continues putting everything else in life ahead of you and ceases to make you feel you are very special to him, you will ultimately fall out of love with him. I don't see much you can change here. He must go to school and obviously he has to work. Let him know how you feel and see if you can work something out so the two of you can have at least some quality time together.
