Tony T
A great thread ( http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t31062/ ). One of the top ten best on this site ever. I encourage those who feel inclined to read over it and post your own personal feelings and experiences. The topic is how marriage may have outlived its usefulness. Thanks. dlb311
Alot of people these days have a hard time keeping it together. I have meet alot of guys I dated who never wanted to get married because they watched everyone around them get divorced over and over again. Our parents are not providing a good example anymore. And so we just think love is something that is suppose to passionet for all time. And the truth is life is not always a smooth ride and so you have to just wait out the rough parts to regain the wonderful parts. I also think that people rush into marriage. They get caught up in the moment and don't realize that we change through out our whole lives and we need to make sure we are at a point where we can change and not need to change our intire lives while leaving people behind. People are waiting alot longer now a days to get married because those who get married early in life seem to give up. I think marriage can work as long as you want it to. Most people give up. You marry someone and people later say well I had to get divorced because they were so unromantic and this and that. Well truthfully you knew that going in. But they say I thought they would change. You can never change a person. And I think alot of people think people will change in time. And it doesn't work that way. I have lots of hope I will marry someday and it will work out. So as long as I have hope then all I can do is just take the chance.
