Are beautiful women REALLY approached by men all the time?

I disagree with this. Maybe my standards are high, but I'd say only 10% of young women are what I consider legit pretty. In a class of twenty girls, there are usually about two that I find pretty. About 20%-30% of young women are what I consider attractive. Beautiful is even rarer. I'd say it accounts for maybe 2% of young women. To me beautiful means attractive enough to be an actress or model (depending on body type).

 

There are a lot of girls who you can tell would be pretty if they lost weight. So if all young women were thin those numbers would be significantly higher.

 

That said, I realize this is only my personal opinion. There are people who have more flexible and more stringent definitions of beauty than I do.

Acressstes and Model? So Jennifer Aniston/ In your head....Beautiful? No, She's pretty, (with her nose job) and that is it.

 

Beauty is a gift. It's totally a crapshoot. You may end up beautiful, or butt ugly..nothing you can do about it, other than plastc surgery, and, well, that rarely works.

 

Beautiful, truly, insanely georgeous people are less than ....000005%. So, alls I am saying is that, most people, (women) are totally delusional if they think that some guy hitting on them means that they are "beautiful".

 

Pretty women who look easy get hit on ALL THE TIME.

Jennifer Aniston is the exception to the rule. She's attractive, but not beautiful or even what I'd consider pretty. Most movie stars are beautiful.

 

Your ".000005%" equals 1 in 20 million. Beautiful people are far more plentiful than that. If you walk all day around any large university campus you will encounter a handful of girls who would be considered gorgeous/beautiful by most people.

 

Now if you're going to talk about somebody who is aesthetically "perfect" looking, if such a thing exists, then maybe your 1 in 20 million estimate has some merit.

You're still thinking "pretty". Beautiful is so rare. Beautiful is beautiful for a reason, not many people are. It is more an "anomoly" that someone is "beautiful". You're still thinking, "pretty".

I've never claimed that I am being hit on because I am beautiful and I don't think anyone else on this thread is either. I keep saying I'm cute and very approachable and open and that is why I constantly get dates. My BF things I am over the top gorgeous and sometimes I swear his tongue sort of lolls out of his head when he's staring at me :p He's the only one who's opinion matters to me. :love:

Yep, I am. The funny thing is I'm not that picky when it comes to guys, probably because I don't view them in an aesthetic sense. I usually find male faces less interesting. Women are prettier to look at.

 

All attractive guys sort of blend together to me, with a few truly gorgeous ones occasionally sticking out.

I don't know why but most actresses to me are ugly, not "ugly" just not able to qualify for being beautiful. I hate all the makeup and plastic surgery they have on or have had. I see beautifull women in school or in the mall and they don't even need to get plastic surgery or wear tons of make up. That to me is beautiful and there are plenty of them here in the Chicago area.

If you are into that whole plastic makes for beauty thing, then really I wouldn't want to know you in real life.

But I have been frequently stopped on the streets or in public venues by gay men who go on and on about how pretty I am and so on. I sometimes wonder what that means. I don't look like a man. Well I hope not.

 

Are gay men's definition of attractive women different from straight men's?

Kimbop, I think you and I are very similar. I know I turn a lot of heads when I walk down the street and my GayBoys are constantly telling me that I'm "stunning" or the "bee's knees."

 

But I NEVER get asked out or approached by strangers in public venues. I can't ever think of an occasion when it has ever happened.

I'm not an American, so I have no idea what 21B means, but I remember reading your post about working on turbines in San Diego...which I would imagine is not quite the same thing as patrolling the streets of Baghdad :laugh:

 

In any event, I don't really care what you do in the military. I just find it amusing that you constantly bring up the fact that you are in armed forces, as if it somehow adds weight to your opinions. Remember, we are on a dating forum.
