robbb
For the past couple years ive had some anxiety issues, nothing severe. I have been engaged for about a month now...and she wants a wedding this october. we just started doing the heavy lifting of putting the list together and booking a reception hall and i am just getting all kinds of nervous and anxious and worried.....its like when we talk about wedding stuff i feel overwhelmed....but when kinda just lie down in bed at night and watch tv im 100% ok and just kinda hug her and hold her close cause she is my happy place... i would just like to know if this is normal or not. Ilovecake
What makes you nervous the though of getting married or the actual wedding itself? I struggle with anxiety as well and I've learned that it's my body telling me something is not right and needs to be changed. Think about what your trigger is and then change that so that you feel more comfortable with it. A little pre wedding jitters is common but if you're sick anxious you're going to have to adjust something.
stillafool
I wish everyone would get over the "wedding" already. My first marriage I had a big wedding, 350 guests, and the whole nine yards. I swear I bearly remember any of it. I do remember my mouth hurting from having to smile so much. My hopefully last marriage was just the two of us going off to Las Vegas (not one of those cheesy chapels though) getting married and having the time of our lives. No stress, no mess. It was sooooo much better.
