How long have you been in your LDR and how much longer will it be?

I've been in mine for about 1 year, 3 months now. It's pretty hard since this stretch of us being apart is the longest yet(6 months), and the official end is still wayy off in the future.

 

But in Sept 2011 I'm hoping to study in my bf's city for a year or so, which will be the first time we've ever spent that much time together. It's a really exciting idea, so it gives me some hope for the future.

We've been together for 8months... LDR for 4... and there are not many possibilities for us being together in less than almost 2 years more...

We`ve been LD the entire time we`ve known each other. We dated 6 years ago, broke up, stayed friends(in love), and then got back together.

 

So 4 years of wishing we were still together and sneaking in I love you`s every now and then. 2 years of actually being back together. And about a month and a half until he moves down.

We met online two years ago -- met in person one year after virtual meeting. He left to go back home yesterday after spending 10 days together. This was our 4th visit (40days out of 365) I go out again in July. This part of an LDR is the worst - the transition from being together to just being a voice or a twitter again. Sad face today.

we've been dating for 2 years altogether- 8 months we were living in the same city together, and the rest of the time has been long distance. I am not sure when our distance will end. If all goes well, I will be moving to be with him this summer (July). If not, it could be a long time...

Yeah mine's been an LDR the whole time too. The "end" in sight isn't a permanent end, but it gives me something to look forward to at least. Well that, and when I go visit him in August.

My BF didn't have a job for the first 3 years of our relationship so we saw each other once every 2-3 months. But now that he has a job, its once every other week.

Been in a LDR three months so far (god it doesn't even seem that long, lol) and no idea when the distance will end but if it were up to my boyfriend it'd be this summer.

We started dating in November 2007 and lived in the same city for about 8 months. He's currently about an hour away. I'm about to graduate, and probably have to move back home (600 miles) and am taking a year or two off before I enter professional school. So that means 5-6 years minimum. :[

I have known the guy for 8 years and never once met him (he is Illinois and im in oregon) We were friends first. He's not my bf yet (first meeting in 25 days!!!) But we didnt start talking more seriously till this year!

I've met him about 2 years ago in a online game. The first time we talked we couldn't say goodbye so we talked untill 7 in the morning, it was so great.

We've been together for about 1 year and 5 months now.

Can't imagine my life without him in it.

 

I will hopefully see him very soon.

I had several LDRs and the longest of them lasted 2 months.

 

Im currently in a LDR now and it has only been a week (with a girl on whom I had crush on for 2 years, yet didn't confess lol!). We met on an online anime themed social networking and a gaming site. We are soo much geographically separated, Im from India she is from UK. Im in college and she is in her final year at high school. So it will take a few years before we may actually meet! (What I am scared of: I don't know if she will ever have that strong determination to meet me as I do.) We do have alot more in common than my previous LDRs.

 

She is preparing for her exams right now so I don't get to talk to her often. So I'm missing her like crazy. But she will probably be on once in a while. We havent talked about moving on in real life yet but I am waiting for the right moment for it. I don't want to distract or disturb her during her exams.

 

She also never had a bf in real before, and neither did i have a gf in real so thats another similarity. She said she wants to marry late in life which gives me plenty of time. Now only if she would keep the commitment up till we meet each other in person.

 

I hope I am with her someday cuz she is soooo much the girl i go for... the perfect girl for me!! ^_^ I know I would be devastated if I don't get her lol!
