crfsti
I been thinking about trying it out and was just wondering if anyone has ever tried any of these body cleansing products/practices that flush toxics out of your system over the course of a week or so? Does it work? What did you think of it? Did it make you feel weak, awful, sick, etc.? Any regrets? Would you do it again? -Chris
Mary3
Yes I did. It was a juice fast. It lasted 6 days. I craved foods like crazy but when the fast was over I craved nutritious things MORE ! I have not had fast food of any kind in over 5 weeks. The weight loss was water though. 8 lbs. I gained it back fast like 2 lbs of water a day. It did detoxify . My colon was clean ...I really do crave fresh turkey , whole grain breads everyday now and incorporate that. My one weakness I could not get rid of was addiction to sweets. But at least I am not frequenting fast food places. I love to cook my meals everyday !

Were you able to still work? Just add more fiber to your diet, drink a lot more water, eat some good food and go out exercise and sweat, you will achieve more. Do you think so? Does this cleansing cause more harm than good? I've heard it can also help prevent colon cancer, is this true?
JustLooking123
Why do you need some artificial "cleanse"? Don't you have a functioning liver and kidneys? They're snake oil.
CLC2008
I tried the lemon juice and honey but it actually made me gain a couple pounds. So I just started taking Acai Berry vitamins and it works really good and I drink Vitamin Zero flavored water with it too. I haven't really noticed any side effects which is good. I think Oprah even did a whole segment on the Acai Berries

I think Oprah even did a whole segment on the Acai Berries I'm sorry but Acai Berry is a scam. If you dig deep enough you will find your answer. I know we all * want * to believe this A-Berry works but its only nutritiave plus is the antioxidents. Did you buy this at Walmart or Online ? The A Berry Cleanse does get your system moving a bit I found but as for 2 lbs a day loss , its just not true.

Its true the body will eliminate and detox itself without using detoxification methods or products. But health advocates swear by the cleansing of the body ...
make me believe
My friend has done the master cleanse a few times and she LOVES it. I think she longest she did it for was 25 days. She just got done with a 14 day cleanse and said it was great. According to her the 3rd and 4th days are the hardest, and when most people give up. Personally, I don't think "cleanses" like this are good for you. It would be much better to just eat healthy, clean foods (maybe even just ALL fruits & veggies for a few days) than to starve your body for days at a time.
GrayClouds
But health advocates swear by the cleansing of the body ... but usually those health advocates are also selling something.

You can't rely on any one thing for that specific purpose. But it has cleaned my system out, if you know what I mean . But I am also eating more fruits, so I consider it more of an extra boost and addition to my vitamins. I purchased it at Walgreens, I think it was around $10.00 so not bad. Mary3
but usually those health advocates are also selling something. Very true MANY want to sell you something. In my case I paid zero for any type of program. I did buy fresh fruits and veggies and juiced them in a juice extractor. I can use that JE for a lifetime ( or for however long the JE lasts

Yes it wasn't expensive at all and I'm glad yours wasn't either . The only thing that's hard is during the day while at work if I'm in a meeting or something, my tummy starts to hurt. JustLooking123
There are plenty of "health advocates" who also swear by it not being necessary. Waste of money with no hard data to support it. But if you want to throw away your money for nothing but a placebo, go for it.

There is some kind of action from something in the A Berry that causes you to move your bowels. What about if you take it before you go to bed . Like 7 pm and then hopefully empty out first thing in the morning ?

But I could try to take it earlier in the evening instead. I just figured out how to pronounce "Acai" it's "ah-sigh-ee", it sounds cool and it's from the rain forest, pretty kewl. I want to say it really does taste like berries. I will eventually take the rest of the bottle. You have inspired me !
