USMCHokie
Just wondering, what do you all wear to workout at the gym? I have always been a regular t-shirt and gym shorts person, but lately I've been experimenting with cut-off t-shirts...I'm not sure how I feel about wearing them to workout...it makes me feel like one of "those guys"... Is there any particular gymwear that you see at the gym that you absolutely cannot stand? If a woman can wear just a sports bra for a top, then I should be able to workout shirtless... Hot Carl
Long shorts and a t-shirt. All synthetic (cotton when it gets sweaty makes me freeze). The same stuff I wear when I run. Except when I go to the gym I also wear lace panties with little pink bows.
Leia
As much as I love men with hot bodies, I wouldn't want to seem them working out shirtless. I wear t-shirts with shorts or track-pants to the gym, that is whenever I have the time to go. I haven't been working out all that much lately.
11bgentleman
I stick with running shorts and a cotton Hanes T-shirt, short socks, and a wore out pair of running sneakers. I only use the free weights at the gym. I save my good shoes for the trail or track. I would go with whatever is comfortable. I am considering buying some workout pants. marsle85
I know this is controversial for many, but to me - whatever GETS you to the gym (be it your own physical motivation or to show off your arms, check out girls) who cares. You're working out. That's commendable. Wear what makes you feel good. This is your time - not anyone else's. Whatever puts you in the zone and will push you to work out harder is what I say you wear.
Hot Carl
Exactly! That's why I wear what I wear. I don't care what anyone thinks.
Citizen Erased
Exactly! That's why I wear what I wear. I don't care what anyone thinks. You're a disgrace. The bows should be black. I usually just wear shorts and a t-shirt, nothing too exciting.

cuppa
yoga pants + sport bra + tank top (sometimes when it's too cold, I wear tight long sleeves underneath my tank top).
cuppa
If a woman can wear just a sports bra for a top, then I should be able to workout shirtless... in my crossfit gym, guys work out shirtless. I couldn't care less (well I have to admit when he has great body, I peeked and admired from afar lol). Sometimes, when I sweat so much that everything was soaking wet, I would strip to my sport bra too. it's in the attitude, as long as you don't go shirtless and then wearing that smug look. If you just mind your own business and hitting those workouts hard, just go for it! Don't be self conscious either.
allina
I wear cropped leggings and a sports bra to the gym/yoga/spinning, sometimes I'll put on a tank top on top too. As for others, I think people should work out in anything they choose, it's not my concern. You can come naked or fully dressed
deux ex machina
Sports bra on it's own, or with a short/long sleeve shirt over it. Long pants or shorts, depending on what I'm doing. The key is that all of it has to be at least somewhat fitted and that the material has a nice hand, durable elasticity, double-stitching, ect. I've had good luck with Under Armour brand lately. I don't mind seeing shirtless guys. Do what makes you feel comfortable.
Lauriebell82
Cropped sweatpants, a sports bra, and a tank top usually. I sweat like crazy on the treadmill so I'm definately not there to impress anyone. As for what other's wear, it doesn't really make a difference to me. There are those people who you can tell aren't there to work out, more to dress skanky and pick up guys. To each his own. It's ironic though that I met my fiance at the gym!!! Whatever puts you in the zone and will push you to work out harder is what I say you wear. Totally agree, BUT I don't want to see shirtless guys at the gym. Plus, their shirts catch their sweat. As for me: yoga pants + sport bra + tank top (sometimes when it's too cold, I wear tight long sleeves underneath my tank top). This is typical for me on a non-cardio day. If I'm also doing cardio, it'll be the same idea as above, but synthetic, not cotton.
deux ex machina
Muumuu/chuck taylors Haha. Painted quite the picture there. What a tart.
LadyDi
You might want a shirt if you're using machines, otherwise bring a towel to wipe the seat off it.....please!
Enema
I run on the streets in my vibrams, short skins pants, short running shorts and a running singlet. I do weights in my home and that's usually naked so I don't sweat through heaps of clothes each week.
Hot Carl
It rapes my eyes. That is really hot.

Jilly Bean
If a woman can wear just a sports bra for a top, then I should be able to workout shirtless... Only if you're mega hot and not poochie. Otherwise, we'd ask you to rerobe. I wear either yoga pants or mens boxer briefs (for real) with some kind of tight tank top. But, I only lift or do yoga at the gym. All my cardio is done outdoors, and outfit involves a lot more boob strappage. Most of the women dress similarly, though some REALLY tart it up and just wear sports bras and very low, tight sweat pants (generally the young girls). They don't really work out, but do, as we would say in LA, the S&M (stand and model). The guys in my gym run the gamut from shorts, sweats, tee-shirts, long tee-shirts, or tank tops. There's one older guy who wears loose shorts and nothing on underneath, and I've seen his balls more than once. He's totally hippy, and I actually rather enjoy his peep shows. Author USMCHokie
I didn't realise you were gay. Good for you - out and proud. Yea, they go best with my cut-off jean shorts with that little bit of fraying on the bottoms of the legs...
11bgentleman
Just don't wear anything with Tapout on it.

saywhat
Wear something on top, just for sweat absorption purposes. The only thing not to wear that i've seen at the gym so far is the old school muscle shirts with the cut out v-neck and a curly haired bowl cut. It looks very bad. Like a clown on steroids.
