Wedding Songs?

Darn it, I may reply twice.

We're getting married in a Catholic Mass, so our Communion song is "Ave Maria" acapella. Before the service, we're having "The Wedding Song," "A Woman in Love," by Barbra Streisand (my favorite song) and my fiance's favorite "Songbird," a little known song by Fleetwood Mac. (The soloist has to learn it for us.)

For our first dance? "The Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," because that's what my parents danced to.

the music that was playing for me to walk in to was 'night and day' by Cole Porter played live on the piano. It sort of went wrong because the original pianist didnt show but someone else stood in and it turned out to be someone famous!

The song that I wanted for our first dance was 'just the way you are' (the Billy Joel version)

But we didnt actually have a 'first dance' because we're not very traditional, so we ended up dancing later on to 'Only You' by Yazoo. bit of an odd one but i love it and it reminds me of the last episode of 'The Office' (the UK one) when Tim & Dawn finally get together

Have you considered starting off to a slow song and breaking into a crazy dance like the ones on You Tube? Some are actually pretty good! I am not much of a dancer but would love to be able to pull that off.

If I ever get married again, I'll have "What kind of fool am I?"

I'm walking down to "When you say nothing at all" by Ronan Keating(Notting Hill version), and our first dance will be to "Then" by Brad Paisley.

Mathew heard our dance song on the radio when he was driving back to Canada after one of our visits. When he got home I told him my Maid of Honor found this very sweet song and he was so surprised that the song I sent him was the same one he'd heard on the radio and had been trying to find out the name of ever since!

When I get married, I want to dance to The Sundays' cover of "Wild Horses" because it was featured in the prom episode of my favorite show, Buffy The Vampire Slayer... Seriously though, the scene it's in makes me cry every time; it's so beautiful.
