SummerLady
Yesterday I was so stressed from work that I was stress eating. I know its no excuse. I ate, 2 cupcakes, 3 muffins, popcorn, cheese nachos, 3 cookies, 1 piece of pizza, 1 piece of pie, 2 cheese sticks and bread. This was for breakfast, I did not eat the rest of the day. I felt sick and bloated. I think my cycle makes it worse but this happens to me once or twice a month. Shoot me......
quankanne
it's the sugar. You body decides it MUST have it, and before you know it, nothing is enough. if you purge it from your body, you don't crave it – so what about switching the types of sugary stuff you eat? Fruit, when eaten over a period of time (usually about a week, in my case), suddenly becomes the preferred sugar source because all the other "good" stuff tastes "off." even going from something like the plain jello cups and regular yogurt to sugar-free jello and low-sugar yogurt affects your palate, and you tend not to want to go back. BTW, plain popcorn isn't bad for you, and the best part is that a lot of it = one serving, so your mind thinks you're pigging out. Same thing with chicharones (pork skins) ... surprised the hell out of me when I discovered they have no carbs. Then I realized I could snack on a handful and I felt full, where as Cheetos or those Sun Chips? Whoo ... I could eat the whole bag in one sitting if I didn't watch myself! are you doing anything to help alleviate stress, like exercise or even meditation?
Enema
As long as you're doing enough exercise to work off that food, don't stress. All you'd need is say 6-8 hours running flat out and you're done.
cuppa
As long as you're doing enough exercise to work off that food, don't stress. All you'd need is say 6-8 hours running flat out and you're done. This! OP, yesterday, I ate breakfast (coffee + rice porridge + fish), lunch (subway sandwich) + 2 ice cream cakes (Baskin & Robin) + 1 bar of dark chocolate (280 calories) + chocolate chip cookie (270 calories) + 4 slices of pizza + appetizers (Mussels) + wine + 1 latte yesterday. Was I stress eating? Not really, I just think that I do enough exercises to burn those calories. I do that from time to time so I just did my kickboxing extra hard last night and I feel great this morning. So everytime you stress eating, try to compensate by doing extra workouts. No need to feel guilty, we all do that, just make sure that you make up for it. If you used to run 1 hour, then run for 2 hours. Just hold your body accountable to make up the calories.
