Rorschach
Haha, unfortuneatly for the next 2 weeks I'm stuck at home living with my parents, trust me, nobody has a worse opinion about that than I do so it doesn't need to be discussed. My mom is a big lady and has very little respect for my diet, she goes out and buys/cooks more or less what she wants. She has the attitude of 'if I'm going to eat alot and be fat everybody around me is going to eat alot so I don't feel guilty' needless to say, this screws with my diet alot. 99% of the time I'm really good about it, but today she came home from work with pizza and all of a sudden the salad I was eating looked alot less appetizing. I had 4 pieces, I now feel REALLY full and probably won't eat for the rest of the day (I had 300 calories of cereal, an apple, and an egg, so maybe 500 calories + 4 pieces = what, 2100 calories?). I worked out yesterday, I worked out today, and I plan on working out tomorrow. But really, is there anything I else I can do to minimize the effect that damn pizza has on my diet? In other news dieting is going to be so fricking easy when nobody buys all this junk food...
cuppa
It depends....is that thin crust, thick crust, deep dish? and how many toppings? do you put extra cheese? It's a pizza day for everyone it seems. I too ate 4 pizzas last night (in addition to chocolate chip cookies + 1 bar of godiva dark chocolate + 2 slices of baskin & robin cookie & cream ice cream). Yumm! I also had 1 glass of Riesling . What can you do? easy...I usually cleanse after such day + increase more cardio/intense workouts to make up the bad calories I took yesterday. Like today, I ate steamed fish + vegetables in the morning, just finished 6" subway chicken onion teriyaki sandwich, and now, I'm sipping my starbucks latte (grande + full milk). In 2 or 3 hours, I will probably eat fruits or carrot/celery. Tonight, I probably eat something plain like boiled chicken breast, fish, and brocolli (seems like my body wants something clean after heavy meals yesterday). I don't feel bad because today, I'm going to do Jillian Michaels with my coworkers, then Krav Maga sparring for 40 mins or so, then crossfit (deadlift day, hoping for a new PR today) . So yeah, put on your running shoes when you are not working and go run, make up the calories.
Star Gazer
Jillian and Bob both advocate having a splurge day. Three super-clean days, three moderate days, and a splurge day. Mixing up your diet is just as important as mixing up your workout - it keeps your metabolism on its toes. So just treat it as a splurge day. No worries!

I'm too sore from this mornings workout to go run XD I'm just drinking alot of water right now and eyeballing the eliptical in the other room, maybe I'll go for a fake run. I know it doesn't kill my diet but I hate days like today all the same. Back on the wagon tonight though (as in, can't eat anything). I used to say 'back on the wagon tomorrow' but I always felt that made it too easy to cheat tonight and have ice cream or something XD

Author Rorschach
Well I can't say I expected these replies but they did make me feel better. I guess I'll just do better tomorrow, I have plenty of leftover salad
USMCHokie
A day here and there of crap food isn't going to make much of a difference. It happens. Enjoy.

I think this is the hardest part of sticking to your eating plan is living with others who eat rubbish all the time. My husband is one of those tall bean poles who can eat anything and never gain an ounce. He loves to order pizza and bring home KFC etc etc etc. I had to tell him to eat whatever he wants but just don't let me know he has it. We only got married last year and didn't live together before so it was easy to stick to my eating plan as I just never bought junk. So now we live together and I have gained 10 pounds which is hard as it is so very hard to lose for me. I mean I do very very good at resisting but say it is Friday night and I worked a very long week and I get home and exhausted and that pizza sure is easy and smells so good. Anyway maybe we can post here when we are tempted. I wanted to say congrats on your weight loss. I read your other threads and you have really lost a lot.

Next weigh in is monday, I want to give myself ample time to burn off the pizza XD I'll post how much I lost then haha Oh and today we all went to the chinese buffet (which is by far, my favorite kind of restaurant) I had 3 plates of salad with no dressing AND I'M DAMN PROUD OF IT (oh, and a single piece of general tso's but I don't think anybody will hold that against me)
