laRubiaBonita Posted April 21, 2010 Share Posted April 21, 2010 it depends on the dress, the alterations needed, and the schedule of your seamstress..... i only had my initial fitting, then the follow up to make sure it was right & i had 2 dresses. but i love my seamstress- i have taken other stuff for her, she is awesome and very reasonably priced! D-Lish Posted April 21, 2010 Share Posted April 21, 2010 Unlike LB's suggestion, I don't know any bride who had had hers fitted more than once, unless she got it fitted months before the wedding and then lost/gained significant weight - PARTICULARLY if you have a corset bodice. My friend's wedding is May 22nd, and her fitting is next weekend (as in May 1st). Good choice LB- you will make a beautiful bride- can't wait to see the pics! Link to post Share on other sites

The bride sits in a chair in the middle of the dancefloor, the groom lifts her dress (sometimes so that her leg is exposed, othertimes he just shoves his head up there ), removes the garter (using hands, or sometimes teeth), and then tosses it to a group of single guys.
