So It is frustrating. I am looking for an accurate scale.

I have a little digital bathroom scale, but I hate it. It gives you different answers depending on where on the floor it is. At the gym they have one of the doctor scale, used correctly those are the most accurate scales, but it often weighs me a good 2-3 pounds heavies than my at home scale, so I don't use it much =P

same with the digital scale we have at work.... depending on where it is on the floor it will read different.

and the scale at the DR. office usually weighs me a good 5 pounds lighter than the one at work.

i am not even sure if the Dr. scale is properly calibrated.... but i just use them as a range

it is frustrating. Did I lose 3 lbs last week and just gain this week or did I not lose weight to began with.

I feel like such a fat pig right now it is discouraging,

I use how snug or tight my belt is fitting. If I gain weight yet my waist is thin then I must be doing something right. Also you need to weigh yourself with as little clothing as possible and around the same time of day.

I like weighing myself right after workouts right before I get in the shower, naked and low on water weight =P

But really I try not to pay TOO much attention to the scale because it fluctuates so much while I'm dieting/working out. It's normal to have it make 2-3 pound swings every day, up and down and up and down.

I just try to stay good on what I eat and workout and leave the rest to faith.

I use a bathroom digital scale and I have not found any inconsistencies between where it is placed on the floor.

However, I would recommend that you always use the same scale and weigh yourself at the same time of the day, with no clothing if possible. For instance, I do it before I hop in the shower in the morning, before breakfast.

Try also not to weigh yourself more than once or twice a week, because otherwise you will become frustrated with the fluctuations your body naturally makes (especially if you're a woman in child-bearing age).

i know- i currently feel like a whale, yet the scale says it is just in my head- although i felt more whale-like on monday, a little less yetsreday and not quite as bad today as monday, but not as less as yesterday.

i weighed myself monday at work- 144..... my personal ideal # is 138.

of course i wear my shoes and all at work every time i do weigh..... i am pretty sure the number will not be 144 today, but i will not go there.

I weigh myself the same time every week in the same clothes.

I think I need to go back to weight watchers,

I'm going to go with Green here... it's not about your weight, it's about how good you feel and how good you look.

Scales are deceptive, especially the body fat scales. Just quietly: I look fucking awesome but based on my BMI I'm overweight.

Screw that, it works for 50% of the population maybe... but people who work out every day like me, it doesn't work. You have to make your own (mental) scale.
