The best place to meet men?

I've been single for almost 3 years now, although I've dated a little bit here and there in that time. Am I the only one that thinks it's hard to meet people? I live in New Orleans and most of the social life here revolves around going to bars and drinking (there's a bar at the movie theater for crying out loud!). I like to have a glass of wine here and there but my last boyfriend had serious alcohol issues and I'm really worried about getting involved with someone else like him. Where do you single women out there meet men? Single men, where do you meet women?

I feel like people are so into their own words sometimes that it's hard to just strike up a conversation - people aren't as "open". But maybe I'm just scared to try?

it's all about visibility; and for the crucial point: genuinely appearing to have a blast just being you, and your fabulous single self not looking for a man, smiling and having fun, and just chit chatting for the heck of it, without expectations. harder than it sounds ? certainly, if you're not in that frame of mind. but practise makes perfect.

Single men, where do you meet women?

 

doing things that i enjoy.. activities.. it seems like when i go to events that hold my interest on a personal level the women there are all VERY attractive to me.. way more so than when i go to a bar or any other random social thing. hope that helps!
