Tony T
The Jungian concept of Individuation is a bit too involved to advance on someone untrained in his writings. It relates to the evolution of each human spirit over a lifetime to access every part of his conscious and subconscious form to hopefully reach maximum potential as a human being, to understand the very core of their person and their reason for existence. The concept is a bit heavy for most people who struggle through the day just trying to make enough money to pay rent, make car payments and to buy food. But for those with the luxury of time to go introspective, all you have to do is go to www.yahoo.com and enter "individuation" in the search engine and you will get a salad of technical explanations of this concept. Following is the most simple definition I could find. "Individuation, the pattern of human growth, Jung compared to the growth of a pine tree. No two trees grow in an identical way. Each grows toward unique realization. Life is ever changing, unpredictable, and challenging. The seed from which the structure of consciousness springs forth is the psyche. "Through the lifelong process of individuation, we peel away the layers of the conscious, like the layers of an onion, until at last we reach the inner core of self-realization." A complete knowledge of individuation will not be of much help in the treeatment of jealousy, fear and phobias. Separate individual therapies for each malady and each patient are indicated. The best treatment for jealousy, in my opinion, is to improve one's self esteem and self concept and to give up on controlling the likes and dislikes of others. The treatment of choice for fears and phobias is systematic desensitization or the very gradual introduction of the object or event which is feared into the world of the patient. The last paragraph is the only one that makes your topic one that remotely fits in this forum but I hate to see queries go unanswered. It would be preferable to detail specifically what is troubling you and then perhaps many on the forum may have had similar problems they could relate to you.
billy the kid
I totally agree with tony. but he didn't adress the political issue.. which is and ind. goverment allows crimes to be committed for the benifit of the people.. but of course you were looking at personal issues. Yet this still might apply.. think about it.. ps. as always I come out of left feld. The Jungian concept of Individuation is a bit too involved to advance on someone untrained in his writings.
