paralyzed
Watched a movie the other nite on HBO called Antwone Fisher. I've been recovering from a broken relationship and have been filled with all the usual questions about why we couldn't give each other what we needed to be happy. There is a scene in this movie that really hit home. Fisher and his girlfriend are in a hotel room and he has just made a terrible decision not to confront the most fearful pearson in his past. His girlfriend walks over to him, takes his face in his hands and just starts gently kissing him all over his face. Never says a word. She didn't tell him he was wrong, didn't judge him, just showed him that she accepted his weakness and loved him. The next day he went and confronted his fears. I know its hollywood but the message was sure there. If my ex had been able to show that sensitivity and understanding she would have owned me.
